摘要： A feeder head assembly is provided for transporting a material in a printing apparatus. The feeder head assembly includes a housing and a cap. The housing is at least partially rotatable about a longitudinal axis. Also, the housing includes an inner hollow chamber and an opening into the chamber. The inner hollow chamber is adapted to be in fluid communication with a vacuum source for decreasing pressure within the chamber. The opening is defined by a rim. The cap is removeably secured to at least a portion of the rim. The cap includes at least one aperture passing therethrough, wherein the at least one aperture is in fluid communication with the vacuum source.

摘要： An assembly is provided for adjustably aligning sheets of material, particularly sheets of print material fed into a printing apparatus. The assembly includes an alignment section adapted to convey the print material in a direction toward the printing apparatus. The alignment section includes first and second guide members for controlling the position of print material passing through the assembly. Each guide member extends generally parallel to the direction toward the printing apparatus. The assembly also includes a control mechanism for adjustably securing the position of the guide members. The control mechanism includes a first and second shaft extending laterally to the first direction. The first guide member is supported by the first shaft and the second guide member is supported by the second shaft. In this way, rotation of the first shaft selectively translates the first guide member longitudinally along the first shaft without translating the second guide member.

摘要： A pusher block assembly is provided for use in the aligner section of a printing press. The assembly includes a pusher which automatically tilts rearwardly and translates downwardly at the discharge end of the aligner section, thereby preventing damage to the trailing edges of the articles transferred to the printing section of the press. The pushers are also pivotable between upright and horizontal positions. This feature eliminates the need for removal of the pusher block assembly when relatively long articles are conveyed by the aligner section.
