Abstract: The apparatus includes a motor-driven pump having an inlet connected both to an air intake and to an unpressurized liquid product container, whereby the liquid product and air are simultaneously drawn into the pump. The pump outlet is connected to a static homogenizer which emulsifies the liquid and air mixture. The aerated product is then fed to a flexible tube having a dispensing device at its outlet end. Various dispensing devices are a forcing bag, a decorating head, or a hollow spear. Pneumatically operated means is provided for automatically discharging the aerated product from a forcing bag.

Abstract: The machine includes a motor-driven pump having an inlet operatively connected both to an air intake and to an unpressurized liquid product container, whereby the liquid product and air are simultaneously drawn into the pump. An adjustable needle valve is provided at the air intake to control flow of air into a chamber which has a check valve at its outlet. A solenoid-operated valve is located at the outlet of the homogenizer and an electrical control system simultaneously opens the valve and starts the motor.

Abstract: The apparatus includes an open entry disposable hose and forcing bag which are formed integrally with each other. At the end extreme from the feeding means, the bag includes a bulbous member. Several embodiments of the integral hose and bag are shown and described. When required, a venting hose is provided for release of trapped air in the material and communicates with an expansion chamber. In certain circumstances, a tube surrounds the bag and is selectively inflatable or deflatable for controlling dispensing of the material in predetermined amounts while still using, for example, a continually fed supply of material to the forcing bag.

Abstract: A machine, utilizing static whipping discs, aerates a whippable food product. The aerated product is fed through a hose to a forcing bag. Venting apparatus is provided at the junction of the hose and bag to eliminate air voids. The method includes pumping the aerated product through a hose to a forcing bag, alternately compressing the bag to extrude the product and releasing the compression to interrupt the extrusion without interrupting the supply to the bag, and venting any air voids from the bag before the product reaches the tip of the bag.

Abstract: A decorating head is provided with an array of nozzles for dispensing a highly aerated food product. An internal deflector is provided to direct the product to the periphery of the head.
