摘要: The invention is directed to a display and method for conducting sound system design. The display is configured to simultaneously show a sound system model comprising both audio components and sound environment components, a plurality of parameters and a graphic representation of a calculated sound system performance attribute. In response to receiving input from the user and without any additional user intervention, the display re-displays a newly-calculated sound system performance attribute such as, for example, a graphic representation in the sound system model of a sound path associated with a user-selected reflected sound identifier. A processor also simulates, based on the sound system configuration, the sound performance that a user would expect to hear positioned in an identified listening position of the sound system model.

摘要: A method of selecting an audio source includes the step of providing an audio system that includes a source of audio data which can be supplied to a speaker to produce sound. A portable audio source device is enabled to be operatively connected to the audio system. When the portable audio source device is operatively connected to the audio system, the audio system automatically stops supplying audio data from the source of audio data to the speaker and starts supplying audio data from the portable audio source device to the speaker to produce sound.

摘要: A method for graphically representing content of a database in an automobile entertainment system. The method includes presenting a primary display element on a display, wherein the primary display element represents a first node in a first hierarchical level of the data base; and presenting a secondary display element on the display, wherein the secondary display element includes a graphical indicator that varies in size according to the number of nodes in a second hierarchical level below the first hierarchical level of the database. A method for graphically representing data base elements on a display, includes causing an icon to appear on a display, the icon representing a first node in a first hierarchical level of a data base; causing a ring to appear around the icon; and highlighting an arc of the ring, the arch described by an included angle, wherein the magnitude of the included angle is related to the number of elements in a hierarchical level below the first hierarchical level associated with the first node.
