A noise filtering method including the steps of calculating a magnitude E.sub.i of density change for each of a plurality of linear direction components i in a local region around each of pixels of an inputted two-dimensional image, detecting such a direction as to minimize the magnitude E.sub.i of density change, conducting smoothing processing by deriving an arithmetic mean of densities of pixels in the local region arranged in the detected direction, and thereby reducing noise of the inputted image.
Abstract:
With respect to social capital, since no market exists to deal with the social capital itself, financial evaluation based on cash flow cannot be performed.Profiles are created according to service attributes of services in a community. Then, members in a regional society are requested to selects one of the profiles and a questionnaire survey is conducted concerning actual situations of services in a community. Social capital indices are computed based on data collected in the survey, willingness to pay (WTP) is estimated for each service of the community in the regional society based on the social capital indices and the questionnaire data. Thereafter, to calculate a community value, one of the service attributes is designated and a difference among calculated marginal WTP values of some regional societies is evaluated as a financial value of social capital.

A community management center 1 searches for offered-service information that matches at least partly with an application designated by a coordinator terminal 2, and selects participants specified by detected offered-service information, as introduction candidates. Then, an introduction candidate list that describes private information, desired terms, and possessed value of ticket for each of the selected introduction candidates is displayed on a coordinator terminal 2. When the coordinator terminal 2 selects a participant to be introduced to the applicant, out of the introduction candidates described in the introduction candidate list, then, the private information and the desired terms of selected participant is displayed on a participant terminal 3 of the applicant.

In an image processing method and in an image processing apparatus, edge and flat zones of an original image are separately recognized, a first nonlinear flattening process effective for the edge zone is executed to obtain first data, and a second nonlinear flattening process effective for the flat zone is executed to obtain second data. An image is rearranged by using the first and second data for the edge and flat zones, respectively. On a computer-readable recording media, there is stored the image processing method in the form of a program code.

Physical quantities representing six kinds of freedom relating to parallel movement and rotation of an inspection object are detected during repetition of a measurement sequence of magnetic resonance imaging, and a direction and a position of a desired slice moved with parallel movement and rotation of the inspection object are calculated in accordance with the detection result. An intensity ratio of gradient magnetic fields in x-, y- and z-axes directions for synthesizing a slice direction gradient magnetic field, an intensity of a phase encoder gradient magnetic field and a read direction gradient magnetic field are determined so that a direction of an excitation slice coincides with the direction of the desired slice after movement. Similarly, a center frequency of excitation pulses is determined so that a position of the excitation slice coincides with the position of the desired slice after movement. Magnetic resonance signals are measured by imaging parameters so updated, and an image is reconstructed.
