An input control device for enabling the user to perform predetermined operation for an icon simply by performing move operation of a pointer without button operation is provided. An operation selection area generation section 167 generates position information of an area indicating operation corresponding to selection and activation of predetermined operation for an object to be selected, and a display section 15 displays an operation selection area based on the operation selection area position information. When an operation selection determination section 168 determines that a pointer arrives at the operation selection area, it instructs a control section 19 to execute operation for the icon corresponding to the operation selection area information. Upon reception of the instruction, the control section 19 activates and executes the operation corresponding to the operation selection area.

An input control unit for enabling the user to change the input function of an input key without operating any button is provided.A display section 15 is provided with a function partition area containing function determination areas and a match detection section 167 generates match detection information indicating that a pointer exists on a predetermined function determination area based on pointer position information indicating the display position of the pointer from a pointer position determination section 161 and function determination area position information indicating the display position of a function determination area from an icon position storage section 163, and sends the generated match detection information to a control section 168. The control section 168 converts the current input function of a numeric key 13a in an input key section 13 in response to the function determination area where the pointer exists based on the match detection information.

The purpose of the present invention is to enable display of a screen of a document so as to clearly indicate that a script is under execution while maintaining easiness to see the screen of the document. A document display unit displays the contents of a document which is inputted, in a first manner of display. Next, a processing execution unit executes processing in accordance with a description of processing. Then, a manner-of-display change unit changes the manner of display of the contents of the document to a second manner of display after the processing is completed.

A salient-pole rotary electric machine comprises a stator including a stator core formed with a plurality of ventilation ducts spaced apart by a predetermined distance in its axial direction and extending in its radial direction, and a stator winding would around the stator core, and a rotor including a rotor shaft, a rotor rim rotatable together with the rotor shaft, a plurality of salient field poles disposed on the outer periphery of the rotor rim in circumferentially spaced apart relation and extending in the axial direction of the rotor rim, and cooling gas passages defined between every adjacent salient field poles. In the rotary electric machine, a closure member is bured in each of the cooling gas passages between the salient field poles to extend from one of the axial ends to the center of the cooling gas passage, and the closure members are disposed between the adjacent salient field poles in a relation alternate with each other in the axial direction of the salient field poles. The alternate arrangement of the closure members reduces the mechanical losses of the salient-pole rotary electric machine and ensures uniform cooling of the stator throughout the axial length of the stator.

A coffee maker includes a housing provided with a hinged cover at its top. An arcuate flange adjacent the hinge side of the cover extends downwardly from the inner surface of the cover in the closed position of the cover; and a flange extends radially inwardly and obliquely downwardly from the lower edge of the arcuate flange to form a receptacle. When the cover is moved into its opened position, condensation water on the inner surface of the cover flows into the receptacle. When the cover is returned to its closed position, such condensation water flows into the housing.

A deflection yoke for use with a cathode ray tube includes a pair of half-cut separators joined together to form a complete separator, a pair of saddle wound horizontal deflection coils mounted on the separator halves and a pair of toroidal wound vertical deflection coils wound about half-cut coils and assembled about the separator. The plane of separation between the saddle wound horizontal deflection coils, the half-cut separators and the toroidal wound vertical deflection coil is the same plane. Provision is also made for proper orientation of the saddle wound horizontal deflection coils in each half-cut separator and for location of the toroidal wound vertical deflection coil about the separator.

An image display apparatus which can reduce temperature rise and temperature variation in the heating elements in the housing, and is compatible with vertical arrangement and horizontal arrangement of a display screen without causing malfunction and image quality degradation is provided. The image display apparatus includes a control unit configured to control the air warmed up by the heating elements to flow in the vertical direction. The control unit is located closer to the center of the image display apparatus than the heating elements. The control unit includes a rotation plate that is rotated to maintain a longitudinal direction of the rotation plate parallel with the vertical direction according to rotation of the image display apparatus around the normal line as a rotation axis.

In a machine tool of the present invention, a spindle head rotatably supports a vertical tool spindle. On the spindle head base, a guide mechanism is provided so as to guide the spindle head in mutually orthogonal first and second horizontal directions and in a vertical direction. A workpiece is supported on a workpiece supporting base provided at a front side of the spindle head base. The workpiece is surrounded with a side cover assembly on the workpiece support base so as to define a machining area therewithin. The upper end of the side cover assembly is covered with a top cover assembly. The top cover assembly has a spindle hole through which a nose portion of the spindle head passes so as to permit the tool spindle to reach the machining area, and is flexibly operable to follow the movements of the spindle head in the first and second horizontal directions.
