Abstract: A television set carries out communications with a remote control. When the television set displays a picture based on a picture signal subjected to quality adjustment, a signal level of a quality adjustment parameter is obtained, and the data indicating the obtained signal level is transmitted to the remote control. The remote control displays the received data. Abstract: On a display unit, icons representing types of video signals supplied to respective ones of a plurality of input terminals are displayed.
