Abstract:
When thermally perforating a thermoplastic resin film of heat-sensitive stencil material by the use of a thermal head, supply of energy to the thermal head is cut at a time the diameter of the perforations becomes not smaller than 65% and not larger than 95% of a target diameter of the perforations.
Abstract:
There is provided a method for lining the internal surface of a pipe having a first open end and a second open end. Said method comprises the steps of introducing a predetermined amount of a resin into the pipe through the first open end thereof, causing the introduced resin to move through the pipe toward the second open end thereof, so as to form a resin lining layer on the internal surface of the pipe, blowing into the pipe a predetermined amount of flake material and causing the flake material to adhere to the surface of the resin lining layer in the pipe, inserting into the pipe a ball-like pig having a predetermined diameter such that an even resin lining layer having a desired uniform thickness may be formed on the internal surface of the pipe, and causing the inserted ball-like pig to move through the pipe along the entire length thereof, thereby embeding the above flake material into the resin lining layer, and forming on the pipe internal surface an even resin lining layer having a desired uniform thickness.
Abstract:
Liquefied resin is supplied into a pipeline having a branch pipe from an end. Mass of the resin is moved by compressed air passing through the pipeline at constant speed, thereby lining inner walls of the pipeline and branch pipe with the resin.
Abstract:
A stencil is made by thermally forming perforations arranged in both a main scanning direction and a sub-scanning direction in a thermoplastic resin film of heat-sensitive stencil material by the use of a heat source which is heated through supply of energy. Supply of energy to the heat source is cut when a time interval not shorter than 50% and not longer than 100% of an estimated perforating time lapses from the time at which supply of energy to the heat source is started. The estimated perforating time is a time interval expected to be necessary for a perforation to be produced by the heat of the heat source and to be enlarged to a desired size as a final size as measured from the time at which supply of energy to the heat source is started.
Abstract:
A stencil is made by thermally forming perforations arranged in both a main scanning direction and a sub-scanning direction in a thermoplastic resin film of heat-sensitive stencil material by the use of a heat source which is heated through supply of energy. Supply of energy to the heat source is cut so that the quotient obtained by dividing a maximum diameter of a perforation at the time at which supply of energy to the heat source is cut by the energizing time is not smaller than 0.015 m/s and not larger than 0.23 m/s.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an absorbent article, such as a sanitary napkin, incontinent device, or the like. The absorbent article includes a liquid pervious topsheet, a liquid impervious backsheet, and an absorbent core that lies between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent article further includes a pair of longitudinally extending bands of web material positioned on the body surface of the topsheet on each side of a longitudinal centerline of the absorbent article and joined to at least one of the topsheet and the backsheet in a longitudinally elastically elongated state. The bands of web material include first and second regions which are visibly distinct from each other. The first region has at least two substantially planar portions and the second has a plurality of rib elements. In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, at least one of the substantially planar portions of the first region of the bands of web material extends in a substantially longitudinal direction and at least one other of the substantially planar portions of the first region of the bands of web material is oriented at an angle with respect to the longitudinal direction. Alternative embodiments of the present invention can also have flaps which extend laterally outward from a side edge of the central absorbent body positioned at least in a middle region of the absorbent article.
Abstract:
A driving device has a stepping motor for reciprocatively rotationally driving a decorative rotary member. A memory circuit stores a data table on the basis on which the operation timing of the stepping motor is determined. A control circuit controls the application of actuation pulses to the stepping motor on the basis of the data stored in the memory circuit. The data table is made up of numeric values representative of the inter-pulse spacing of the actuation pulses, the inter-pulse spacing being selected such that the rotational speed of the rotary decorative member varies in conformity with a sine curve or the rotation angle of the decorative rotary member varies in conformity with a secant function.
Abstract:
A clock includes two dial pieces laterally openably pivoted to a stationary shaft. The dial pieces in a closed position define a single time display face. When a driving motor is started at any set time, two gears with eccentric cams are rotated in opposite directions; as a result, the dial pieces with cam followers held in contact with the eccentric cams are shifted in laterally opposite directions to take an open position, so that a gimmick normally hidden by the dial pieces in the closed position is exhibited. A spring is attached to the stationary shaft to moderately urge the dial pieces in the direction of opening thereof, or a spring is provided to urge the dial pieces in the direction of opening thereof via two pins provided on the eccentric cams in accord with the center lines thereof, whereby the operation of the dial pieces is attained uniformly irrespective of whether they are opened or closed.
