Abstract:
A disc grinder includes a grinding wheel cover rotatably mounted to a gear housing about an axis of a spindle. A stopper device can restrict a position adjustable range of the grinding wheel cover of the spindle and includes a first stopper on the side of the grinding wheel cover and a second stopper on the side of the gear housing. The first stopper and the second stopper have stopper surfaces for contacting with each other. An impact absorbing device can absorb an impact produced when the stopper surfaces contact with each other.
Abstract:
A fastener driving tool includes a fastener drive mechanism and a trigger that is movable from an OFF position to an ON position for actuating the fastener drive mechanism. A mode change device is operable to selectively change a tool mode among a first drive mode, a second drive mode and a drive inhibit mode for the fastener drive mechanism. The mode change device includes an operation member that is operable by an operator. The operation member has a plurality of operational positions that correspond to the changeable modes.
Abstract:
There is proposed a nail driving tool provided with a driver guide including an injection hole for driving a nail and a contact arm surrounding an outer surface of a forward end of the driver guide in a nail driving direction, provided with an eject hole penetrating through the contact arm, movable on an axial line along the nail driving direction for making triggering operation for driving a nail effective by being moved in the opposite direction to the nail driving direction and designed to drive a nail outwardly through the eject hole, wherein a diameter of an outer surface of a forward end portion of the contact arm is decreased taperingly toward its edge in the nail driving direction. A diameter of the eject hole of the contact arm in the vicinity of the forward end of the contact arm in the nail driving direction is nearly equal to that of the injection hole of the driver guide in the vicinity of the forward end of the driver guide in the nail driving direction and an outer diameter of the contact arm in the vicinity of the forward end of the contact arm is equal to or smaller than an outer diameter of the driver guide in the vicinity of the forward end of the driver guide. A spike is provided on the outer surface of the forward end portion of the contact arm for preventing slippage of the contact arm when a nail is driven obliquely. It is easy for the user of the nail driving tool to see and aim at the point to drive a nail.
Abstract:
A fastener tool includes a body having a driver guide mounted thereon. The driver guide extends downwardly from the body and has a longitudinal axis in a driving direction of fasteners. A control member may be movably mounted on the body for controlling a fastener driving operation. A support leg device serves to permit the tool to be placed on a surface in an upright position, in which the driver guide extends substantially vertically relative to the surface. The support leg device defines a predetermined support area extending in a plane for abutment with the surface. The support leg device is arranged such that the tool center of gravity is positioned directly above the support area in a plan view when the tool is in the upright position, in which the support area extends substantially horizontally, so that the control member does not substantially interfere with the surface.
Abstract:
A pneumatic tool, such as a nailer, includes a housing, a cylinder disposed within the housing, and a piston slidably movable within the cylinder. The piston has a driver for driving fasteners, such as nails. An upper piston chamber and a lower piston chamber are defined within the cylinder on an upper side and a lower side of the piston, respectively. A control device is provided for controlling the supply of compressed air from a compressed air supply device to the upper piston chamber and to the lower piston chamber to drive the fasteners into a workpiece. The control device includes a variable pressure chamber and a valve. The variable pressure chamber is always connected to the compressed air supply device. The valve is operable to connect and disconnect the variable pressure chamber and the lower piston chamber in response to the position of the piston relative to the cylinder. A device is provided to maintain a predetermined volume in the variable pressure chamber, irrespective of the operation of the control device.
Abstract:
A fastener driving tool includes a fastener driving device for driving fasteners one after another. The fasteners are connected in series to each other to form a strip of fasteners. A fastener feeding device is provided for feeding the fasteners one after another to a driving position by the fastener driving device. The fastener feeding device includes a first claw and a second claw positioned forwardly of the first claw in the feeding direction of the fasteners. A drive device is provided for reciprocally moving each of the first and second claws between a frontmost position and a rearmost position. A stroke adjusting device is operable to provide difference between the stroke of movement of the first claw and the stroke of movement of the second claw, so that the stroke of movement of the second claw is smaller than the stroke of movement of the first claw.
Abstract:
A fastener driving tool includes a driver guide within which a driver is reciprocally moved to drive the fasteners, a contact arm vertically movable along the driver guide and having a lower end for abutment on a work, a control mechanism interlocked with the contact arm for controlling operation of the driver. A mechanism for adjusting driving depth of the fasteners includes a cam device interposed between an upper part and a lower part of the contact arm. The lower part has the lower end for abutting on the work. The cam device is operable by an operator for varying distance between the upper part and the lower part of the contact arm.
Abstract:
A nailing machine includes a body, a driver extending downwardly from said body and vertically reciprocally movable for driving nails, and a driver guide for guiding the driver. A contact arm is movable between a lower first position and an upper second position and has a lower end for abutment on a work. The driver guide and the contact arm are fixed to each other and cooperate with each other to form a nail driving channel through which the nails are driven into the work.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is an improved nail driving tool comprising a housing including a reciprocable driver, a driver guide fixedly connected to and extending vertically from the lower end of the housing for slidably receiving the driver therein, a handle secured to and extending laterally outwardly from the central portion of the housing, and a magazine including a storing portion adapted to receive a nail package including a multiplicity of nails interconnected in series and a nail guiding portion adapted to guide the leading portion of the nail package to the driver guide, the magazine including a fixed wall portion secured at one end to the driver guide and extending generally below and parallel with the longitudinal extent of the handle and a closure wall portion pivotally movable about the driver guide with respect to the fixed wall portion between an operative closed position and an open position exposing the interior of the magazine.
