    摘要: The present invention relates to a process for improving a deasphalting unit process by producing an improved feedstream for the deasphalting process via ultrafiltration of a vacuum resid-containing feedstream. In particular, the present invention produces an improved quality feedstream to a solvent deasphalting process which results in improved deasphalted oil (DAO) production rates and/or higher quality deasphalted oils. The present invention can be particularly beneficial when used in conjunction with an existing deasphalting equipment to result in improved deasphalted oil (DAO) production rates and/or higher quality deasphalted oils from the existing deasphalting equipment without the need for significant equipment modifications to the existing deasphalting unit.

    摘要: Provided is a process for increasing the softening temperature of asphalts by use of liquid jet ejector with a diptube connected to the discharge connection of the liquid jet ejector for ejecting an air/asphalt mixture below a liquid level in an oxidizer vessel. The liquid jet ejector is used as both an air compressor and an air/oil mixer. The liquid jet ejector motive fluid is hot asphalt and the entrained vapor is air. The combined liquid jet ejector with a diptube process provides for an improvement in asphalt air blowing efficiency by requiring less cumulative air to produce a given asphalt softening temperature.

    摘要: A process for upgrading a hydrocarbon oil is provided which comprises introducing the oil and an aromatic extraction solvent containing 0.1 to 10 vol % water into an extraction zone for contact of the oil and solvent therein whereby an extract solution is formed; and injecting water into the extraction zone at a point below that at which the extraction solvent is introduced. The injected water is injected substantially countercurrent to the extraction solvent at a velocity of about 0.5 to 3 ft/sec in an amount ranging from about 0.1 to about 10 LV% based on the amount of extract solution being processed.
