Abstract:
The invention provides a sealing device, a rolling bearing and a rolling bearing for a wheel, in which a torque can be reduced, and also the air and lubricant are less liable to escape from the interior of the bearing to the exterior of the bearing, and the air and foreign matters are less liable to intrude into the bearing from the exterior of the bearing.A bottom 73 of an axial concave portion in a surface of an elastic member 51 forming a radial lip 70, facing away from a flange portion in an axial direction overlaps an end face 77 of a radially-extending portion 61 of a core metal member 50, facing a tubular portion 65, in a radial direction. A bottom 81 of a radial concave portion of the elastic member 51 forming the radial lip 70, facing the tubular portion 65 of a slinger 52 is spaced from the end face 77 of the core metal member 50 toward a flange portion 66 in the axial direction.
Abstract:
Prior to assembly of an elastic member (51) to a slinger (52), a radially inner surface (58) of a first portion (56) is formed in a concave shape, and a radially inner surface (59) of a second portion (57) is formed in a conical shape. The second axial lip (55) is adapted such that, after the elastic member (51) is assembled to the slinger (52) and when a second axial lip (55) is in a not-yet-worn state, the second axial lip (55) does not come into contact with a fixation section (65) of the slinger (52).
Abstract:
The object of the present invention is to improve sealing performance of a seal under a specific environment. The seal is arranged in an annular space A in which a rotary shaft 1 and a housing 2 face each other, and partitions the annular space in axial direction into a vacuum space B and an atmospheric pressure space C. The seal is constituted such that a main lip 6 of the seal has an axial contact width W0 with which the main lip slides on and contacts with the rotary shaft 1 and which is set to be equal to or larger than an axial contact width W1 necessary to secure minimum sealing performance with respect to a sealed portion and equal to or smaller than an axial contact width W2 with which sliding resistance against the rotary shaft becomes a permissible upper limit, to thereby prevent the axial contact width W0 from influencing rotation characteristics with respect to the rotary member and to allow securing required sealing performance.
Abstract:
Provided is an axial fan apparatus including a housing and an axial-flow impeller. The axial-flow impeller is capable of rotating inside the housing and includes a plurality of axial-flow wings each having a negative pressure generation surface for generating a negative pressure, and an auxiliary vane standing on the negative pressure generation surface at an end portion of each of the plurality of axial-flow wings.
Abstract:
A sealing apparatus includes a slinger which includes a cylindrical portion, and radially-extending portions and provided respectively at axially-opposite ends of the cylindrical portion and an elastic member which includes a base portion fixed to a surface of an inner radially-extending portion of a radially-extending core metal member, and a lip portion connected with the base portion. The lip portion is formed by a first axial lip contacting one radially-extending portion of the slinger and a second axial lip contacting the other radially-extending portion of the slinger. The elastic member is formed such that in an axial cross-section, the distance between a cylindrical portion-opposing surface of the elastic member radially opposed to the cylindrical portion and the cylindrical portion is increasing generally uniformly axially outward.
Abstract:
A head actuator is made thinner without sacrificing its strength to thereby achieve the thinning of a hard disk apparatus. On the base end of each of two suspensions is provided a boss that protrudes in the direction of the side on which a magnetic head is provided, and a suspension fixing section having a hole into which the bosses are inserted is formed towards the tip of an arm. The boss of one of the suspensions is inserted into the hole from the upper end section thereof, and the boss of the other suspension is inserted into the hole from the lower end section thereof. Thus, the arm is fixed in place by being held by the two suspensions from above and below.
Abstract:
A main cartridge body unit for housing a disc-shaped recording medium which can be reduced in size and thickness. To this end, the main cartridge body unit 6 includes a flexible magnetic disc 5, an upper plate 21 of a metal material and a lower plate 22 of a metal material, forming a plate pair, and an intermediate frame 23 sandwiched between the upper and lower plates 21, 22. A flexible magnetic disc 5 is housed in the inside of the main cartridge body unit 6. The main cartridge body unit 6 includes recording and/or reproducing apertures 24, 25 for exposing portions of the recording area of the flexible magnetic disc 5 to outside across the inner and outer rims of the disc. The main cartridge body unit 6 also includes a shutter member 61 for opening/closing the recording and/or reproducing apertures 24, 25.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing long products from a lengthy plate-like material having an appreciably small thickness by press working is disclosed in which the plate-like material is fed in succession into the press working stages of a single press unit carrying out a centering process, a bending process, a coining process, a sizing process, perforating process, and a final shearing process. The material having passed these press working processes is formed into long products having various required lengths and various required number of perforations formed therein. The spacing of the perforations are kept constant irrespective of changes in the thickness and width of the material.
Abstract:
An automatic document transportation device has a rotatably supported guide piece at the junction between a document feeding route through which an incoming document sheet to be processed is passed to a scanning position and a discharge route through which the processed document sheet, moving backwards from the scanning position, travels to be discharged. The guide piece normally assumes a downward position by its own weight, thereby blocking the feeding route in such a way that the incoming document sheet can cause it to rotate and travel past it but the outgoing sheet, moving in the opposite direction, is deflected by it into the discharge route.
Abstract:
A document holder for holding a document sheet on top of and against a document table of a copier is connected to the housing structure of the copier and can be opened and closed with respect to the document table with hinge mechanisms. Each hinge mechanism has a plate adjustably attached to the side surface of the copier housing structure and supports a spring for applying a biasing force on the other hinge plate attached to the document holder. The spring applies its force through a cover piece having a cam surface such that the document holder can be kept open at any angular position and no biasing force acts on it when it is closed.
