Abstract: Bioactive display systems for displaying digital content. The display systems have one or more LED-based lighting channels adapted to generate one or more of a long red near infrared (LRNE) red light, a circadian-inducing blue light output in first operational mode and a less-circadian-inducing blue light output in a second operational mode. The bioactive lighting can have a first circadian-stimulating energy characteristic related to the associated first spectral power distributions of light generated in the first operational mode, and the non-circadian-inducing blue light can have a second circadian-stimulating energy characteristic related to the associated second spectral power distribution of light generated in the second operational mode. Disclosure methods of generating digital display content with the display systems described herein. The methods can generate a circadian-inducing blue light output in first operational mode and one of a LRNE output and a less-circadian-inducing blue light output in a second operational mode.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method comprising: (a) receiving a set of physiological data associated with at least one health condition of an animal subject; (b) receiving a set of environmental data associated with one or more environment conditions to which the subject is or has been exposed; (c) determining a set of operating parameters for at least one environmental device based at least partially on at least a portion of the set of physiological data and at least a portion of the set of environmental data; and (d) transmitting the set of operating parameters to the at least one environmental device to at least partially control at least one controlled environmental condition to which the subject is exposed to thereby at partially control the at least one health condition.

Abstract: A platform for design of a lighting installation generally includes an automated search engine for retrieving and storing a plurality of lighting objects in a lighting object library and a lighting design environment providing a visual representation of a lighting space containing lighting space objects and lighting objects. The visual representation is based on properties of the lighting space objects and lighting objects obtained from the lighting object library. A plurality of aesthetic filters is configured to permit a designer in a design environment to adjust parameters of the plurality of lighting objects handled in the design environment to provide a desired collective lighting effect using the plurality of lighting objects.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for providing circadian-friendly LED light sources are disclosed. A light source is formed to include a first LED emission (e.g., one or more LEDs emitting a first spectrum) and a second LED emission (e.g., one or more LEDs emitting a second spectrum) wherein the first and second LED emissions are combined in a first ratio and in a second ratio such that while changing from the first ratio to the second ratio the relative circadian stimulation is varied while maintaining a color rendering index above 80.
