Abstract: A nanoemulsion, and a method of preparing the nanoemulsion is disclosed. The nanoemulsion includes sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl), chlorhexidine (CHX), and a self-nanoemulsifying delivery system (SNEDS) which further includes at least one oil, at least one surfactant, and at least one co-surfactant, wherein no parachloroaniline is present in the nanoemulsion after 1 hour at room temperature.

Abstract: A method of dry reforming of methane (CH4) is provided. The method includes contacting at a temperature of 500 to 1000 degree Celsius (° C.) a reactant gas mixture including methane and carbon dioxide (CO2) with a bimetallic supported catalyst. The bimetallic supported catalyst includes a porous catalyst support and a bimetallic catalyst. The porous catalyst support includes aluminum oxide (Al2O3) and magnesium oxide (MgO). The bimetallic catalyst includes nickel (Ni) and copper (Cu) disposed on the porous catalyst support. The method further includes collecting a product gas mixture including hydrogen (H2) and carbon monoxide (CO). The bimetallic supported catalyst includes 8 to 16 weight percent (wt. %) nickel and 2 to 14 wt. % copper, each based on a total weight of bimetallic supported catalyst.

Abstract: A buccal tablet formulation has a polyvinylpyrrolidone K-90 as a solid dispersion polymer, a hydroxypropyl methylcellulose as a mucoadhesive polymer, a sodium deoxycholate as mucopenetration enhancer, a porous silicon dioxide (e.g., FujiSil), mannitol, and avanafil. The ratio of PVP K-90 to AVA is approximately 2:1 (e.g., 2.3:1 to 1.7:1) in the tablet. Methods of making the buccal tablet with enhanced bioavailability and prolonged duration and methods of using the formulation for the treatment of erectile dysfunction are also provided.

Abstract: A membrane filter apparatus for splitting a feed into filtrate and retentate is provided. The apparatus comprises a body chamber, a feed inlet disposed on the body chamber, a retentate outlet located in the body chamber, a feed distribution tube connected to the feed inlet, and a filter assembly having a filter. The feed distribution tube has a length sufficient to cause the feed to enter the body chamber at a feed distance from the filter assembly of no greater than 50% of a total length of the body chamber. The feed flows across the filter in a direction parallel to a surface of the filter assembly. The filtrate passes through the filter assembly and the retentate flows through the body chamber in a direction antiparallel to the feed flow through the feed distribution tube and out through the retentate outlet.
