Abstract:
Methods and apparatus, including systems and computer program products, for a services architecture design that provides enterprise services having accounting functionality at the level of an enterprise application. The design includes a set of service operations, process components, and optionally deployment units. Suitable business objects are also described.
Abstract:
Embodiments consistent with the present invention relate to methods and computer systems for displaying customizing parameters of an application program, the customizing parameters being stored in database tables. In one embodiment, a method is provided that comprises: executing an application program, and acquiring trace data during execution of the application program, the trace data comprising a path for each of the results provided by the application program, each path being descriptive of a sequence of database table entries of the database tables holding a sub-set of the customizing parameters used for a calculation of the corresponding result. The method may further comprise displaying the results, interactively selecting one of the results for further analysis, and displaying the database table entries identified by the path of the selected one of the results.
Abstract:
A method, system and article of manufacture for creating a worklist and organizing a cockpit to control complex processes execution. A process hierarchy is created, including a plurality of organizational levels. A worklist of a plurality of worktasks, grouped in accordance with the process hierarchy, is created. The plurality of worktasks includes both internal worktasks, to be executed on a local computer system, and external worktasks, to be executed on external computer systems. A number of worklist views are displayed, where each worklist view includes a corresponding subset of the plurality of worktasks organized in accordance with the process hierarchy. Executions of internal and external worktasks are initiated from one or more of the worklist. Further, detailed information relevant to the execution is received. The executions of the tasks are monitored on one the worklist views.

Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for evaluating financial information, including systems and methods with computational/evaluation capability to process data sets comprising financial data. In one of the implementations, the systems and methods may be utilized for asset accounting. A calculation module may be provided that includes an evaluation engine that operates internally on a flat, generic data structure that is independent of the particular application. The externally-defined data structure of the data set may be mapped onto the internal data structure. Further, rules-based modules may provide information related to the client-defined rules. A user interface may enable a user to receive back the evaluated financial information, for a specified time period, the financial information being responsive to an original user request entered via the user interface. As a result, the evaluation engine can be used for a variety of different applications.
