摘要: A quick-attach absorbent article assembly including a base assembly selectively attachable to a crotch region of an undergarment and a absorbent article selectively attachable to the base assembly. The base assembly is provided with a plurality of protrusions structured and arranged to engage and retain the absorbent article during use.

摘要: A multilayered absorbent structure is disclosed. The absorbent structure has a plurality of absorbent planar regions defined by decreasing pore size with increasing depth into the region. Generally, each planar region has an absorbent layer having relatively large average pore sizes at the top, body facing surface, and relatively small average pore sizes at the bottom, garment facing surface. A subsequent absorbent region has a top body facing surface with an average pore size which is larger than the bottom, garment facing surface of the previous absorbent region. The top surface of each subsequent planar region is in fluid communication with the lower surface of the planar region above.

摘要: An absorbent mixture, as made from fibers formed into a fibrous web and a polymerizable, cross-linkable material, in a liquid carrier. The material, when polymerized and cross-linked, results in a superabsorbent polymer. The material, in the liquid carrier, is dispersed within the fibrous web, as dispersed inclusions, and is polymerized and cross-linked in situ, within the fibrous web, so as to form a composite web comprising the fibrous web and the superabsorbent polymer, as dispersed particles, at least some of which are bound to fibers from the fibrous web. The composite web is ground, so as to cause some of the superabsorbent polymers to become particulate while fragments of the superabsorbent polymer remain bound to fibers from the fibrous web. Before the composite web is ground, it may be provided with a fibrous layer or fibrous layers in intimate contact therewith, and also compressed.

摘要: The present invention relates to an absorbent article and a method for manufacturing the same. The absorbent article is made from an absorbent nonwoven fabric having a density from about 0.01 g/cc to about 0.05 g/cc. The absorbent nonwoven fabric has a first major surface and a second major surface. An apertured film is secured, e.g., by frictional engagement or with the use of an adhesive, to the first major surface of the nonwoven fabric. Optionally, a top layer may be secured to the second major surface of the nonwoven fabric. The absorbent article may be used as a wound covering or as a component of a variety of products such as adhesive bandages, disposable diapers and sanitary protection products.
