摘要: A method for performing cold atmospheric plasma therapy to treat breast cancer. The cancerous tumor is sampled and cold atmospheric plasma treatment is performed on sampled cancerous tumor cells ex vivo. The results of the testing are stored in an electronic storage media. A cell viability reduction rate of said tested samples is calculated with a processor and stored in memory. An average cell viability reduction rate is then calculated by the processor for the cancerous tumor. Cold atmospheric plasma dosages to be used in treatment of the cancerous tumor in vivo are then projected using the processor. The tumor is surgically removed from the patient. The surgical margins of the tumor are then treated with cold atmospheric plasma at the projected dosages.

摘要: A method for producing cold atmospheric plasma-produced exosomes ex vivo for use in systemic treatment of cancer. The method comprises isolating patient cancerous tumor primary cells, culturing isolated patient cancerous tumor primary cells in appropriate culture media, sequencing said isolated patient cancerous tumor primary cells and identifying mutant genes, transfecting mutant genes into pots of cells, wherein the transformed cells overexpress a unique mutant protein, treating the pots of transformed cells with cold atmospheric plasma to cause apoptosis of said transformed cells, wherein apoptotic cells secrete exosomes containing oxidized mutant proteins, isolating said exosomes containing oxidized mutant proteins, and storing said exosomes. The method may further comprise injecting said exosomes into a patient to systemically treat cancer.

摘要: A system and method for voice control of operating room electrical equipment. The system comprises an electrosurgical generator a controller with a memory, a graphical user interface controlled by said controller, a power module, a field programmable gate array, and a voice recognition module connected to said field programmable gate array, a data storage connected to said controller in said electrosurgical generator; and electrical operating room equipment connected to said voice recognition module, wherein said electrical operating room equipment is configured to receive and decrypt encrypted commands from said voice recognition module. The electrical operating room equipment may said electrosurgical generator or a robotic surgical system or other electrical equipment in an operating room. The connection between said electrical operating room equipment and said voice recognition module may be wireless. The connection between said data storage and said controller in said electrosurgical system also may be wireless.

摘要: A method for using Cold Atmospheric Plasma based T cell therapy for treating cancer including treating tumor cells with cold atmospheric plasma to permeabilize the tumor cells, condensing a mammalian CRISPR plasmid vector into compact nanostructures using one of poly-L-lysine (PLL) and Star-shaped poly(ethylene glycol)-block-polyethylenimine, and transferring into the tumor cells catalytically inactive Cas9 (dCas9) containing transcriptional activators (VP64-p65-Rta) paired with single guide RNAs (sgRNAs) and plasmid DNA (CRISPRa system) to elicit immune responses by enhancing the presentation of tumor-associated antigens.

摘要: A micro-sized CAP (μCAP) employed to target glioblastoma tumors in the murine brain. Various plasma diagnostic techniques were applied to evaluate the physics of helium μCAP such as electron density, discharge voltage, and optical emission spectroscopy. The direct and indirect effects of μCAP on glioblastoma (U87MG-RedFluc) cancer cells in vitro were investigated and indicate that μCAP-generated short- and long-lived species and radicals [i.e. hydroxyl radical (OH), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), nitrite (NO2-), et al] with increasing tumor cell death in a dose-dependent fashion. Translation of these findings to an in vivo setting demonstrates that intracranial μCAP is effective at preventing glioblastoma tumor growth in the mouse brain. The μCAP device can be safely used in mice, resulting in suppression of tumor growth. These initial observations establish the μCAP device as a potentially useful ablative therapy tool in the treatment of glioblastoma.

摘要: Surgical scissors having argon plasma coagulation capability are shown. The surgical scissors include in their body a channel for receiving a flexible tube having a wire within it. The flexible tubing and wire within it are connected to a generator that provides electrical energy to the wire and argon or other inert gas to the tube. The flexible tubing travels a portion of the length of the scissors and ends with a coaxial connector in the proximity of the cutting edges of the scissors. An argon plasma coagulation sleeve is placed on the cutting end of one or both sides of the scissors and is connected to the flexible tubing and wire through the coaxial connector. Each sleeve has one or more ports for discharging electrified argon gas that coagulates tissue.
