The apparatus includes a CIR searcher for selecting a CIR group that is a region where a channel power exists, a CIR estimation part for estimating a CIR of the selected CIR group, and a Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) for performing a DFT on the estimated CIR.

    摘要： An apparatus and method for estimating a channel in an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) system is provided. The apparatus and method includes estimating a channel corresponding to a pilot of a received signal, performing a first estimation on a data channel by performing time-domain linear interpolation on pilots of previous and next symbols of the pilot using the channel estimate, performing Infinite Impulse Response (IIR) filtering on the channel estimate and the data channel estimate of the pilots of the previous and next symbols of the pilot, and performing a second estimation on the data channel by performing frequency-domain linear interpolation on a remaining zone which excludes the pilot and the zone that underwent the first estimation.

    摘要： An apparatus and a method for estimating a channel in a Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) communication system are provided. The apparatus includes a subcarrier demapper for extracting pilot symbols at preset positions for a channel estimation; and a channel estimator for acquiring channel estimate values of subcarriers through an Infinite Impulse Response (IIR) filtering using the pilot symbols provided from the subcarrier demapper and a preset filter factor. Thus, the channel condition can be estimated by taking into account the channel change.
