    摘要: The present invention provides a critical breakthrough in large aperture ultrasonic transducer technology, enabling a variety of large ultrasonic devices that emulate optical lens functions. The present invention is a transducer assembly and method of production. The assembly includes metalized transducer material and additional materials in a design that enables both effective ultrasonic functionality and efficient manufacturing. Each assembly includes a strip of the transducer material, usually two strips of foundation material, and at least one strip of supporting material. The manufacturing process utilizes structural properties of the foundation material and supporting material in manufacturing tooling to enable efficient fabrication of transducer assemblies from a flat card of transducer material. Foundation material and the supporting material remain as part of the assembly. Because these materials are also selected for ultrasonic properties, they support effective ultrasonic operation of that assembly.

    摘要: The present invention provides a critical breakthrough in wheeled vehicle concepts, by enabling stable vehicle operations, where wheelbase configuration varies in relation to the need for roll preventing force. This enables a new form of automobile that is especially suited for electric adaptation. The invention is an articulated vehicle that includes a stabilizer part and a carriage part where the two parts are linked by a two axis joint that locks the parts together in regard to relative roll motion, but allows pitch attitude and yaw attitude of each part to be mutually independent. Such a joint allows wheels to maintain firm contact with road surfaces while liking to cause the carriage to follow the stabilizer, and enables roll stabiliztion effects. In a turn condition, the stabilizer extends a wheel toward the outside of the turn such that upward force on that wheel counters roll torque that occurs due to radial acceleration due to the turning radius and speed of the vehicle.

    摘要: The invention is a system that was developed for medical imaging, with particular attention to breast imaging applications. Spot focused architecture enables very high resolution imaging using very large aperture transducer arrays, where depth of field and focal length cause a small focused spot at a pre-set depth for each transmit-receive operation. Scanning depends on rapid movement of the focus spot throughout an intended object space, so transmit-receive events are overlapped in time. Coded signals are used to suppress interference caused by such overlap. Selection of codes by pre-set correlation is simple, where a correlator channel produces a single image data sample for each spot. Coded signals are compensated for frequency dependent attenuation by the medium to enable wide bandwidth effects. Attenuation leveling and fixed paths to spots enable prediction and compensation for frequency dependent attenuation to enable broad band effects. The architecture provides for bistatic operation of sparse arrays, with hybrid electronic beamformers. It also uses mechanical scanning. Transducer elements are constructed by cutting strips from thin cards of piezo-electric material.
