    摘要: A reduction jack for placing a spinal rod within a rod channel of a bone fixation screw includes a mounting stem having a tubular body, a plurality of teeth disposed on the body, a pair of legs projecting from the body, and catches disposed on the legs for engaging the bone fixation screw. A reduction sleeve at least partially encircles the mounting stem. A gear assembly is mounted on the reduction sleeve and engages the teeth on the body such that manipulation of the gear assembly facilitates movement of the reduction sleeve along the mounting stem. A first pawl is pivotably mounted to the reduction sleeve and resiliently biased against the teeth on the body, the first pawl being pivotable between a first position where the first pawl engages the teeth on the body and a second position wherein the first pawl does not engage the teeth on the body.

    摘要: An expandable intervertebral implant includes a superior plate having a proximal end, an opposing distal end, and a threaded first hole. An inferior plate has a proximal end, an opposing distal end, and a first bore, the inferior plate at least partially bounding an elongated channel that communicates with the first bore. A first lift screw includes a gear wheel rotatably received within the first bore of the inferior plate and a threaded stem projecting from the gear wheel and being threaded into the first hole of the superior plate. A drive screw is rotatably disposed within the channel of the inferior plate, the drive screw having a worm that engages with the gear wheel such that rotation of the drive screw facilitates rotation of the first lift screw which in turn facilitates movement of the superior plate relative to the inferior plate.

    摘要: The present disclosure includes devices and methods of treating a herniated disc comprising treating an opening in a vertebral disc by applying plasma to the vertebral disc, wherein the vertebral disc comprises a nucleus portion and an outer annulus fibrosus portion, and wherein the plasma seals the opening in the vertebral disc. The devices and method comprises a plasma delivery device configured to be handheld and used percutaneously or in minimally invasive surgery. The vertebral disc, which comprises a nucleus pulposus and an outer annulus fibrosus, can be herniated with a rupture caused by a tear or opening in the annulus fibrosus, that can be repaired when the annulus fibrosus is sealed by the use of the plasma.

    摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure includes method and devices for minimally invasive spinal fusion surgery. A method for minimally invasive spinal fusion surgery can include accessing a spinal column through a working channel device, wherein the working channel has a proximal end and a distal end, advancing the working channel so that the distal end pierces an outer layer of a vertebral disc, inserting a disc extractor through the working channel device and into the vertebral disc to cut the vertebral disc into pieces, inserting a disc blade through the working channel device and into the vertebral disc to cut the vertebral disc into pieces, using a disc rake to remove the pieces of the vertebral disc, inserting a disc shaver to clean a number of surfaces of vertebra adjacent to the vertebral disc, and inserting and implanting a disc implant in a space from where the vertebral disc was removed.
