摘要： The performance and the functionality of a projection-type video display device are improved to expand an application range of the projection-type video display device. The projection-type display device has two optical engines, increases the luminance of a display image, achieves a pseudo high resolution, or displays a three-dimensional image and a wide screen. The two optical engines have an adjusting mechanism to adjust a position on which an image is displayed. The adjusting mechanism has a plurality of mechanisms which adjust relative three-dimensional axis-direction positions between the two optical engines and inclinations of the optical engines with respect to axes. For example, in consideration of cross actions between adjustments, the plurality of adjusting mechanisms are allocated to the optical engines. As a result, the adjustments can be easily performed.

If first information contained in the copy control information received indicates copy generation information to permit copies for one generation and second information contained in the copy control information indicates “limited number of copies permitted” mode permitting a predetermined number of copies, then the digital content is output to only one of the recording media in a state permitting copying up to the predetermined number.

A list of these patterns generated as described above is retrieved in parallel with a general conversion table during demodulation. When the demodulation is interrupted due to the burst error, the result of the retrieval of the previous pattern is referred to, and when there is a hit, the error is regarded as the burst error of the original channel word, and the demodulation is continued.

The encoding device includes an image conversion module that converts the direction of the images using right-left symmetry mode convention or up-down symmetry mode conversion. Encoding modules are used to encode both the unconverted and converted images. A mode selector module compares the quantity of codes in the encoded unconverted images and the quantity of codes in the encoded converted images, and selects codes that are smaller in the quantity of codes for output.
