Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for transferring a previously formed image onto an image-forming member. The process of the invention comprises forming a positive image on a releasable image-forming layer from a negative image by the dye transfer method or the inversion method, followed by releasing and transferring only the said image-forming layer onto the above-mentioned image-forming member by means of, for example, heat, pressure or electron beam.
Abstract:
The invention intends to provide a high-capacity type non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery that includes a nickel-containing lithium composite oxide as a positive electrode active material and exhibits good charge/discharge cycle characteristics even under a high temperature environment. The invention is a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery including: a positive electrode including a nickel-containing lithium composite oxide as a positive electrode active material; a negative electrode capable of absorbing and desorbing lithium; a separator interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode; and a non-aqueous electrolyte including a non-aqueous solvent and a solute dissolved in the non-aqueous solvent. In the nickel-containing lithium composite compound after a discharge to a predetermined cut-off voltage of discharge, the molar ratio r of lithium to the other metal elements than lithium is 0.85 or more and 0.92 or less. The non-aqueous electrolyte includes a fluorine-containing sulfonate compound.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a process for producing iron and refractory material for use as a raw material for a refractory brick and as an aggregate for a castable refractory product. A mixture of aluminum smelting residue and scale is introduced into a furnace. The mixture is melted in the furnace and a thermit reaction is generated. After the completion of the thermit reaction, a molten iron and a molten slag are cooled. Particularly the molten slag is gradually cooled. The slag is crushed to form the refractory material.Alternatively, in order to produce iron and alumina cement, quicklime and/or limestone are further introduced into the furnace. The molten slag is cooled rapidly to form a clinker. The clinker is crushed to a powder size to form the alumina cement.

Abstract:
This invention relates to a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery including a positive electrode including a positive electrode mixture, a negative electrode, a separator, and a non-aqueous electrolyte. The positive electrode mixture includes a positive electrode active material, and the positive electrode active material includes a lithium nickel composite oxide. The non-aqueous electrolyte includes a non-aqueous solvent and a lithium salt dissolved in the non-aqueous solvent. The amount of moisture contained in the positive electrode mixture is greater than 1000 ppm and equal to or less than 6000 ppm. By adjusting the amount of moisture contained in the positive electrode mixture in the above range, it is possible to improve the cycle characteristics of the non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery including the lithium nickel composite oxide as the positive electrode active material.

A secondary battery of the present invention comprises an electrode assembly in which a strip-shaped positive electrode plate and a strip-shaped negative electrode plate are spirally wound with a strip-shaped separator interposed therebetween, the positive electrode plate comprising a positive electrode current collector and a positive electrode material mixture layer carried thereon, and the negative electrode plate comprising a negative electrode current collector and a negative electrode material mixture layer carried thereon. The positive electrode plate has, in a vicinity of a first end at an initial winding side, an exposed portion of the positive electrode current collector having the positive electrode material mixture layer not formed thereon and a positive electrode lead connected to the exposed portion. A first winding turn outwardly adjacent to a connecting portion of the positive electrode lead with the separator interposed therebetween and a second winding turn outwardly adjacent to the first winding turn with the separator interposed therebetween comprise a portion of the negative electrode plate carrying the negative electrode material mixture layer.
Abstract:
A battery, in which measures are taken to suppress a reduction in charge/discharge capacity and degradation of load characteristics due to peeling of an active material off the current collector during repeated charging and discharging, is disclosed. Boehmite treatment or chromate treatment of the current collector surface of the electrode plate for the battery suppresses the degradation of charge/discharge capacity and load characteristics.
