摘要： An apparatus for recording and reproducing a digital video signal on and from a common recording medium by using the head configuration common to the conventional one while maintaining exchangeability with the current analog VTR. An analog video and audio signals are recorded and reproduced on and from an video track and an underlying deep-layer track, respectively, by means of magnetic heads and magnetic heads. On the other hand, a digital video and audio signal is recorded and reproduced on and from two adjacent tracks by means of the magnetic heads for analog audio recording. During reproduction, an identification signal generating circuit generates an identification signal for discriminating a recorded signal, and a control signal is PWM modulated with the identification signal and recorded on a control track by means of a magnetic head.

Therefore, a high picture-quality helical scan type magnetic recording and/or reproducing apparatus can be provided which is able to prevent the picture quality from being deteriorated by the vibration of the video head due to the rotation, and to satisfactorily make the over-writing on the tape and the assemble mode operation upon recording.

摘要： A rotary magnetic head device and a rotary transformer used therefor are disclosed. A pair of througholes, through which the starting extremity and the ending extremity of each of a plurality of coil conductors disposed on the rotor core and the stator core constituting the rotary transformer are led to the respective rear surfaces, are linked by a linking slit. Alternatively one throughhole, through which both the starting extremity and the ending extremity of each of the coil conductors are led, is divided into two throughholes by disposing therein a non-magnetic partitioning member having a thermal expansion coefficient close to that of the magnetic body within a region of 15%. In this way, the two throughholes behave magnetically as if the starting extremity and the ending extremity of each of coil conductors passed through one throughhole, so that magnetic field components produced at the starting portion and the ending portion cancel each other and that the coupling coefficient between the rotor core and the stator core is increased.

A transparent substrate is arranged opposite the second surface of the plate, a third group of electrodes are arranged on the transparent substrate opposite and parallel to each of the second group of electrodes and means is provided for connecting each of the second group of electrodes to each of the third group of electrodes which is opposite to the former, and a liquid crystal is interposed between the transparent substrate and the plate.

摘要： In a magnetic head employing a metallic ferromagnetic material for portions defining a transducing gap, an oxide film or carbide film and a nonmagnetic metal film are provided in this order on each of track width narrowing grooves, and glass is packed on the nonmagnetic metal film, thereby preventing the deteriorations of magnetic characteristics ascribable to the reaction between the metallic ferromagnetic material and the glass and the production of bubbles ascribable to the reaction between the protective films and the glass, and to achieve the enhancements of recording and reproducing characteristics, the prevention of damages to a recording medium surface, the increase of a head lifetime and the rise of the available percentage of manufacture of the heads. When a glass film is further provided on the nonmagnetic metal film and the glass is packed thereon, more excellent effects are achieved.

摘要： A magnetic head which uses single crystal Mn-Zn ferrite containing up to 7% by weight of SnO.sub.2 occluded therein without being allowed to separate and which has such a construction that glass having a contraction rate lower than that of ferrite is filled in the narrowed portion near the gap, the plane forming the principal magnetic circuit of the core is allowed to coincide with the {110} plane of the ferrite and an angle .theta. between the direction inside the {110} plane of the ferrite and the gap-forming plane is from 5.degree. to 40.degree. or 85.degree. to 120.degree.. The magnetic head having such a construction has a reduced modulation noise and extremely excellent write-and-read characteristics.

摘要： A rotary magnetic head apparatus comprises a transformer core, including a rotor core and a stator core, a rotary drum, a stationary drum, and magnetic heads provided in the outer peripheral portion of the rotary drum. Signal transmission coils are disposed in a plurality of grooves formed concentrically in a surface of the core to transmit signals to and from the magnetic heads. Windings of each of the coils are positioned and lined with a flexible insulating layer so as to keep their mutual positional relation unchanged. The insulating layer is removed from the coil at portions corresponding to starting and terminating ends of the winding thereof. The insulating layer is bonded to the bottoms of the grooves. Through holes are formed in the core at positions corresponding to the starting and terminating end portions of the windings of the coil. Conductive junction members extend in the through holes and are electrically connected to the starting and terminating end portions of the windings of the coils to transmit signals to and from the magnetic heads.

摘要： A multiplex recording/reproducing system with at least four video signal recording/reproducing magnetic heads mounted on a rotating body with a predetermined interval in the direction of rotation of the rotating body. At least four audio signal recording/reproducing magnetic heads are mounted on the rotating body, alternately with the video signal recording/reproducing magnetic heads. The magnetic tape is forwarded while being wrapped on the rotating body over a region extending at least a multiple of the predetermined interval. Recording/reproducing circuits record and reproduce the video signal and the audio signal while switching over the video signal and the audio signal recording/reproducing magnetic heads in a predetermined order for every predetermined period. An erase signal is supplied to at least one of the audio signal recording/reproducing magnetic heads, which is disposed preceding to the video signal recording/reproducing magnetic head, which records the video signal on a magnetic tape track, during a period of time where no audio signal is supplied thereto.
