Abstract:
A protective garment for protecting military and emergency service personnel comprises an upper body garment having a torso portion formed of flexible material and left and right arm sleeves extending from the torso portion, each sleeve including one or more pockets for retaining a protective armour element to the sleeve. Right and left aide leggings are provided each having retainers for retaining armour elements to the leggings. Each armour element comprises a flexible or rigid ballistic resistant material or structure for protecting the limbs of a wearer against bullets and fragmentation from explosives. The protective garment includes a lower sleeve and lower leggings, each of which are detachable from the basic garment.
Abstract:
A head protection system comprises a helmet shell, a visor mounting for pivotally mounting a visor to the shell to enable the visor to be moved between raised and lowered positions, and a retainer for releasably retaining the visor to the helmet. The system includes a visor adapted for mounting on the shell which comprises a substrate of transparent thermoplastic material and a backing substrate comprising a plurality of layers of high performance, ballistic resistant material. The system may further include a second visor which can be releasably connected to the shell using the same visor mounting and which may have a different construction and primary function.

Abstract:
The read/write head assembly of a tape drive device is moved from a first read/write position to a second non-read/write position. A tape engaging surface maintains tape tension and path in the non-read/write position. Movement of the read/write head assembly to a non-read/write position prevents read/write head element wear during tape searching.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to movable barrier systems, such as a strip door suspension systems, that can be repositioned along the length or width of a room, container, or vehicle, for example, that is temperature controlled. The system saves energy, keeps cargo at a constant temperature, and is safe to the operator.

Abstract:
A unitary or modular, pre-cast, drive-down pit system suitable for use in a heavy equipment wash installation. The completed pit collects runoff generated by the washing of heavy equipment such as construction, industrial, farming, or road-building equipment. The pre-cast concrete separation unit and separate wall sections have tongue and groove mating ends that facilitate assembling the pit and provide for sealing against leakage of water. The separation unit has up to four chambers: a primary solids collection section; a secondary solids settling chamber; a free oil separating section; and a pump water holding section.
