Abstract:
This application discloses a neural network that also functions as a packet data network using an MPLS-type label switching technology. The neural network uses its intelligence to build and manage label switched paths (LSPs) to transport user packets and solve complex mathematical problems. This architecture is well suited to interconnect large numbers of processors or computers into a neural network exhibiting advanced intelligence which can be used for complex activities such as managing the power grid. However, the methods taught here can be applied to other data networks including ad-hoc, mobile, Information Centric, Content Centric, Sensor, and traditional IP packet networks, cell or frame-switched networks, time-slot networks and the like.
Abstract:
A laser projection device suitable for displaying full color images is disclosed. The LPD includes a variety of techniques for modulating laser beams produced by one or more lasers with image data to controllably produce the image using a modified raster scan.
Abstract:
An arrangement for determining light beam position in an electro-optical reader, image projector and like devices includes a drive for moving a scanning light beam at a scan frequency across a target as a scan line, and an electro-optical feedback assembly operatively connected to the drive, for optically detecting scan line position during beam movement, and for generating a feedback signal at the scan frequency, the feedback signal being indicative of the scan line position. A feedback coil in the drive is eliminated to avoid electromagnetic coupling between multiple coils in the drive.
Abstract:
A plurality of image projection modules is operative for causing selected pixels in overlapping raster patterns to be illuminated to produce a large size image of high resolution of VGA quality in monochrome or color. The selected pixels in an overlap region of the patterns are illuminated at a lesser intensity to provide uniform brightness over the image. Multiple single mode lasers, or a multimode laser with an aperture stop, are employed to increase laser output power. Speckle noise is reduced by controlling the optical transmission characteristic of a projection screen. Three-dimensional images are generated by moving the screen. Cross-coupling between drive and feedback mechanisms in image projection is reduced for better image quality.
Abstract:
An apparatus is provided for controlling a laser projection device (LPD). The apparatus is comprised of a liquid crystal display controller, a laser projection display controller, and a laser projection display engine. The liquid crystal display controller is adapted to receive video signals indicative of a visual display and convert the video signals to control signals suitable for controlling a liquid crystal display panel. The laser projection device controller is adapted to receive the control signals from the liquid crystal display controller and use the control signals to control a laser projection display. The laser projection device engine is adapted to display an image under the control of the laser projection device controller.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided to controllably reduce power of a laser projection display (LPD) in response to detecting a variation in a viewing surface. During the operation of the LPD, a controller 142 monitors laser light being reflected from the viewing surface. Since the controller 142 “knows” the amount of power that the LPD is being instructed to deliver, it may compare the known power to the reflected laser light to determine if a foreign object may be in the path of the laser light, and therefore, affecting the magnitude of the laser light. The controller 142 responds to detecting such an event by reducing power to the lasers.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for controlling the operation of a Laser Projection Display (LPD). Generally, the LPD is comprised of a laser, an optical system and a controller. The laser is adapted to emit a beam of laser light. The optical system is adapted to scan the beam of laser light on a display surface in a two-dimensional raster pattern. The controller is adapted to control the rate at which the laser beam is scanned to produce regions of varying resolution on the display surface. The controller is also adapted to present laser light onto the display surface within only selected portions of the two-dimensional raster scan pattern so that spaced apart image regions may be created.
Abstract:
A package for dispensing one or more condoms directly on a penis. The package consists of a flexible container having the general configuration of a penis with a first leak proof layer inside with the open end of the layer stretched over the outside of the container. The layer has a strip for providing penetration or unsealing. The condom is located within the layer and the open end is rolled over the outside of the container and the leak proof layer. A second leak proof layer lines the inside of the condom with the open end rolled over the first leak proof layer and the condom. To dispense the condom on a penis, the penis is inserted and the strip is pulled to unseal the condom from the first layer, permitting the penis and the condom to be removed from the container.
