摘要: A fishing lure rigging system in which a lure body includes forward and rearward hooks and is separable from the hooks should one or both hooks become snagged beneath the surface of the water or in an object such as a tree when casting the lure. The lure body includes a forward channel which extends from the nose portion to the underside of a mid-portion of the body and a rearward channel which extends from the mid-portion of the body, adjacent to the forward channel, to the tail portion of the body. The lure is rigged by first running the line through the hole in the bill, then through the front line port, through the center hook eye, through the rear line port, then the rear hook is tied on. Should either hook set become caught, the line can be broken and the body separated from the hook sets. In one embodiment, the body includes a bill and the forward channel includes an external segment which extends downwardly from the bill and rearwardly to enter the body at a location spaced from the bill; the external segment acting to eliminate sharp bends in the line to eliminate kinking and to promote lure action, and acting as a bumper to prevent snagging of the hook sets.

摘要: A universal labeling system is provided to perform all of the basic package labeling functions, including applying labels (1) to the side of packages or bottles, (2) to the top, (3) to three sides of a rectangular or similar product, (4) to two opposite sides of a product, and (5) wrapping the labels completely around a round product, such as a bottle. The machine accommodates bottles and packages of many different sizes. Structurally, the universal labeling apparatus includes standardized mechanical power supply arrangements and a heavy duty standardized base having a cross-sectional configuration corresponding to an inverted "T", with the central raised portion carrying a conveyor belt and the two lower side portions of the base carrying longitudinally and laterally adjustable mounts for one or more label applicator heads. At least two standard applicator heads may be used simultaneously, and other equipment which may be provided includes a wrap-around belt, a powered hold-down belt, and an alternative powered top roller. Also, feed screws may be located at desired points along the conveyor belt to bring the product to be labeled up to the conveyor belt speed. The powered top roller has the same diameter and is arranged to be mounted from the same fixture as the top hold-down belt. The drives for the feed screws in the two alternate positions of the feed screws are identical. With the foregoing and other arrangements, a single apparatus may perform a wide variety of labeling functions on a wide variety of types and sizes of packages and bottles.

摘要: A razor blade body in the form of a cartridge structure includes a guard member assembled thereon forward of, and extending parallel to, the blade or blades. The guard is of a two part molded structure having an upper portion of elastomeric material with a plurality of upwardly projecting protrusions formed thereon and a lower base portion of rigid plastic material having a downwardly projecting V-shaped cross-sectional portion. A pair of upwardly projecting elements are disposed in spaced relation forming a recess on the blade cartridge structure for receiving the V-shaped base portion therebetween and a latch means disposed in the recess retains the guard member in the assembled position.

摘要: A package for materials that are to be mixed just prior to use comprises a squeezable container into which is inserted a barrel containing a plunger. One substance to be mixed is placed within the container. The second substance is placed within a compartment formed within the barrel between a pair of pistons having flexible sealing rings. Telescoping of the plunger rod into the barrel causes the upper piston to advance into the compartment. The advancing upper piston exerts hydraulic pressure causing the lower sealing piston to detach from the barrel allowing internal mixing of the substances into a mixed fluid. By squeezing the container side wall, mixed fluid may be dispensed from a forward end of the plunger rod communicating with the container interior through a series of passageways.

摘要: A tamperproof dispenser adapted for attachment to a squeeze tube dispenses a metered amount of material from the squeeze tube. The dispenser includes a body adapted for attachment to the squeeze tube, an inlet passage leading to a hollow valve seat, an outlet passage leading away from the valve seat, a rotor in the valve seat, a passage through the rotor adapted for collinear alignment with the inlet and outlet passages, and a slidable piston in the rotor passage. Material is dispensed by ejecting material from the squeeze tube which forces the piston to move through the rotor passage from adjacent the inlet passage toward the outlet passage. The rotor is rotated after each dispensing cycle to reverse the ends of the rotor passage for re-positioning the piston adjacent the inlet passage in preparation for the next dispensing cycle. The valve seat body has first and second annular peripheral edges surrounding adjacent opposite ends of the rotor. An annular shoulder on the rotor rotatably engages the first peripheral edge of the body. During assembly, a retainer plate is sonically welded to the rotor after the rotor is inserted in the valve seat, for rotatably engaging the second peripheral edge of the body. The annular shoulder and the retainer plate cooperate to retain and seal the rotor inside the valve seat in a tamperproof configuration which also ensures that the material will remain sterile during use.

摘要: A system for introducing fuel into a fuel burning chamber or area wherein an extremely lean mixture of air and fuel is directed through a catalyst into a blending chamber and is discharged from the blending chamber through a second catalyst into an ignition or burning chamber. The system may be used efficiently with low grade or heavier fuel. When using the low grade or heavier fuels, it is desirable to heat or vaporize the fuel prior to the introduction thereof into an atomizer or the catalyst and substantially complete combustion occurs in the ignition or burning chamber for substantially eliminating the emission of unburned hydrocarbons, thus not only conserving fuel but also reducing air pollution.

摘要: A case for storing and cleaning contact lenses, comprising: a container having an open end; a closure for the open end of the container; a receptacle carrier movable from a retracted position within the container to an extended position wherein it projects from the open end of the container; interengageable annular shoulders on the container and the carrier for limiting outward movement of the carrier and for closing the open end of the container to prevent loss of liquid therefrom when the carrier is in its extended position; a spring biasing the carrier toward its extended position; and two lens receptacles pivotable relative to the carrier, when the latter is extended, from aligned retracted positions to extended positions wherein the interiors of the receptacles are accessible for insertion or removal of contact lenses, the receptacles being pivotable about a common axis spaced laterally from and parallel to the central axis of the container. With the foregoing construction, the container is automatically sealed against loss of liquid therefrom when the carrier is extended, whereupon the lenses in the receptacles mounted on the carrier may be washed readily without any loss of liquid from the container.
