Abstract:
A measuring system according to the present invention includes a biosensor 29, a measuring device 54 for assaying a specified component in a biological sample applied to the sensor 29, optional indicating equipment 56 which can be removed from the measuring device 54 and announces a measurement result by the measuring device 54 or the like by voice, and a guide 50 for guiding a target to be measured to the sensor 29. According to this measuring system, it is possible to remove the difficulty of performing locating operations when a blind person or a person having weak eyesight attaches/detached the sensor 29 to/from a connector 13 of the measuring device 54 or applies body fluid such as blood to the end of the sensor 29.
Abstract:
A lancing device according to the present invention includes: a housing; a moving body movable relatively to the housing for forward movement of a needle; a driving mechanism for forward movement of the moving body; a hollow pressing portion at a front end of the housing for contact with a part where a puncture is to be made; and a pump mechanism capable of causing a vacuum to act inside the pressing portion. The pump mechanism is capable of adjusting the vacuum. The pump mechanism includes for example: a moving portion capable of reciprocating in a first direction and a second direction away from the first direction. Preferably, the adjustment of the vacuum is made by changing the number of reciprocations of the moving part in the first and the second directions.

Abstract:
A lancing device (A) includes an auxiliary member (8) located on a side of the tip end portion of a lancet (L). By moving the auxiliary member (8), the dimension (s) of the tip end of the lancet (L) projecting from the tip end portion (8a) of the auxiliary member (8) can be varied. The variation of the dimension (S) makes it possible to stick the lancet (L) into the skin (99) of a user precisely by an intended amount.

Abstract:
A blood-collection position indicator facilitating blood collection is provided. An adhesive layer is positioned on the back face of a substrate portion having a convex cross section and a circular planar shape, and at its center, a through hole going through the substrate portion and the adhesive layer is provided to serve as a blood collection hole, thus obtaining a blood-collection position indicator. In the blood-collection position indicator, the protruding portion serves as an attachment part to be attached to the tip of a lancet device, and the protruding portion is inserted into a hole of the tip of the lancet device, thus attaching the blood-collection position indicator to the tip of the lancet device. Adhesive strength of the adhesive layer to the skin is set to be stronger than attachment strength of the attachment part to the tip of the lancet device. Consequently, only the first blood-collection position indicator remains on the skin after the lancet device is used. By using the blood-collection position indicator as a mark, blood can be collected from the blood collection hole.
