    摘要: The present embodiment provides a system and method for lowering the saturated gain level of a thin-disk laser oscillator by multipassing each gain generator in such a way to cancel some of the wavefront error contributions from the disk surfaces. Wavefront aberrations introduced on one pass of the gain disk are canceled through symmetry on successive passes. The reduced wavefront error significantly improves design space for single-mode resonators. Maximum effectiveness is achieved by rotating the gain disk so that the fold plane-of-symmetry reverses the largest wavefront error or specifically chosen functional forms.

The filter has a classified network buffer for identifying whether data is classified or unclassified to define invalid and valid data packets. Invalid data packets are dropped from the classified network buffer and valid data packets are sent to an unclassified network for testing without interrupting the operation of the classified network. In one embodiment, the classified network buffer is programmable to adapt to the continually changing requirements of classified networks.

    摘要: An optical imaging system includes an array of small aperture subtelescopes each with heterodyne detectors. The array detects the amplitude and phase of light waves emanating from a scene under observation before they are combined into an image. The beam combining and interfering functions are performed after detection by the use of novel electronic signal processsing. Large-aperture resolution is synthesized by electronically detecting and correcting phase errors without optical phase compensating components. Parallel processing and atmospheric turbulence compensation are achieved. The system images laser illuminated or naturally illuminated targets as well as stationary or moving targets. The heterodyne detectors can also achieve similar results when arranged in a pupil plane array located behind a single large aperture telescope.
