    摘要: A chair is stabilized in two orthogonal axis, pitch and roll, can hold a person stable in relation to the horizon. This solution to motion sickness is effective because the fluid in the inner ear no longer moves in relationship to the vehicle motion upon which the person is located. Therefore a main cause of motion sickness is substantially reduced or eliminated. Additionally, the invention can be a table, a bed, or even an entire room that is isolated from the rolling, pitching and jolting imparted by the host vehicle. Additionally, some applications such as a chair and table, may be stabilized in a third orthogonal axis, azimuth.

    摘要: A stabilized platform is stabilized to compensate for motion caused by waves, currents, wind, and other motion during land, air, and sea operations of a camera. Although the stabilized platform is primarily described as useful for supporting a camera, the platform may be used to support other articles or persons. The stabilized platform includes a stabilizing system connecting a payload platform to a base. The stabilizing system including at least two motors for rotating the payload platform with respect to the base about two perpendicular axes of rotation providing the payload platform with stabilization in two dimensions. A control system stabilizes the platform based on information provided by a first sensor package or other location for sensing motion of the vehicle and a second sensor package on the platform. The use of the second sensor package allows the stabilized platform to be self correcting. A camera when mounted on the payload platform may be manually or remotely controlled.

    摘要: A buoy incorporating a stabilized camera system can take the place of an aquatic event course marker or rounding buoy. The buoy with its camera system stabilized in either two or three orthogonal axis from the motion of the waves, allows audio and visual recording of events occurring directly adjacent to the buoy, without interfering with the event. Additionally, remote controls allow the stabilized camera to be controlled by a remotely located camera operator who directs the camera to follow event action as it passes or rounds the buoy.

    摘要: A toy computer includes a keyboard housing and a monitor housing pivotally secured by a hinge coupler. A depressible keyboard unit is pivotally supported by the keyboard housing and is coupled to a movable slider within the interior of the keyboard housing. A return spring is coupled to the slider and is operative to pivot the slider such that a ratchet engaging tooth is raised to its engagement position in the absence of a keyboard unit stroke. An endless belt display utilizes a cylindrical lens element array together with a segmented image formed on the endless belt to provide apparent motion of the image as the endless belt is moved. A ratchet coupling system is coupled between the slider and the movable belt to provide incremental belt motions in response to each keyboard stroke.
