    Abstract: An anti-static film comprises one or more polymeric film layers having a layer of conductive, low capacitance material secured thereto. The polymeric film layer(s) may have pin holes formed therethrough. The conductive, low capacitance layer comprises one or more strands of conductive, low capacitance fiber arranged in a predetermined pattern. The polymeric film layer(s) are bonded one to the conductive, low capacitance material using a polymeric layer formed from the same material as the film layers. Alternatively, the layer of conductive, low capacitance material may be omitted, with the adhesive layer being extruded onto the polymeric layer having pin holes formed therethrough. Similarly, an anti-static fabric comprises one or more layers of woven polymeric material having a layer of conductive, low capacitance material secured thereto. Alternatively, the fabric may have or polymeric layer extruded thereon in which pinholes are formed.

    Abstract: A method of manufacturing a shoe lining having anti-microbial properties. The method comprises providing a quantity of a thermoplastic resin including an inorganic zinc-based anti-microbial agent admixture having a predetermined microbial inhibition characteristic. This thermoplastic resin is blended with a polyethylene resin to form an anti-microbial feedstock. The anti-microbial feedstock is formed into relatively long, narrow, thin lengths of anti-microbial members. These members are woven into an anti-microbial fabric having predetermined microbial inhibition characteristics. This fabric is cut into a plurality of pieces in accordance with a predetermined pattern and the pieces are joined together thereby constructing the anti-microbial shoe lining.

    Abstract: An apparatus for manufacturing a liner having baffles therein for use inside of a flexible bulk container, having a frame supporting a first feed means mounted adjacent to a feed path for feeding a sheet of liner material over the feed path at a first speed. A second feed means is mounted adjacent the feed path between the first feed means and a finishing end of the feed path for feeding a length of ribbon material over the feed path adjacent the sheet of liner material at a second speed. An attachment means is mounted adjacent the feed path for attaching the fed ribbon material to the fed sheet of liner material at spaced apart intervals. A cutter is mounted adjacent the feed path and between the attachment means and the finishing end for cutting a predetermined length of liner material having first and second ends. A folder folds the cut length of liner material in half along a fold line perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of an attached length of ribbon, such that the ribbon is inside of the fold. A heat sealer seams the first and second ends of the cut length of folded liner material to form a tubular liner with the attached ribbon forming baffles defining four substantially triangular shaped corner pockets in the liner.
