    Abstract: A thermoplastic pre-container, typically a blow molded piece, is provided to form several hollow bodies. The pre-container is elongated along a central axis and includes a bottom section, an opened section and in-between at least one hollow body section. A plurality of circumferential grooves are provided in a pre-container sidewall, each with a bottom line formed in a virtual plane perpendicular to the axis. The bodies are obtained after cutting the pre-container in a direction transverse to the central axis and severing the end sections. Due to the cutting at several of the circumferential grooves, a top opening and a base opening are respectively obtained for at least two hollow bodies, each opening being delimited by an annular inner rim of a body flange.

    Abstract: The invention pertains to a process for simultaneous producing an infant formula product and an acidic dairy product from defatted animal milk, comprising (a) processing the milk into a casein stream, a whey protein stream and a lactose stream, by: (i) subjecting the defatted animal milk to a filtration step over a microfiltration membrane capable of retaining bacteria and permeating milk proteins, to provide a debacterialized milk as permeate; (ii) subjecting the permeate originating from step (i) to a filtration step over a microfiltration membrane capable of retaining casein and permeating whey proteins, to provide a casein stream as retentate and a permeate comprising whey protein; (iii) fractionating the permeate originating from step (ii) into a whey protein stream and a lactose stream; (b) combining part of the casein stream, at least part of the whey protein stream originating from step (a) and a lactose source to obtain a recombined stream, wherein the lactose source comprises acid whey; (c) using the recombined stream originating from step (b) in the manufacture of the infant formula product; (d) using part of the casein stream originating from step (a) in the manufacture of the acidic dairy product. The invention further concerns the infant formula product obtainable by step (c) of the process according to the invention, and to the acidic dairy product obtainable by step (d) of the process according to the invention.

    Abstract: The gusset style pouch is provided with a resealable closure system configured to selectively define a top opening of the pouch, at the opposite from a bottom, at least one strip of this system being adapted for locking an open configuration, by engaging locking elements that pivot and cause interengagement between the strips of the closure system. The locking elements are integrally formed with at least one strip of the system and made of a semi rigid plastic material, less flexible than material of the pouch sidewalk An elongated predetermined measuring utensil of shorter length than height of an interior pouch volume can be stored along the sidewall by use of a holding part formed on the strip as a lower extension. A leveling can also be performed using a free edge below the interlocking area.
