Abstract:
A sprinkler head nozzle assembly in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention includes a housing including an inlet for pressurize water and an outlet downstream of the inlet, a valve member, operable to extend and reduce an arcuate opening at the outlet of the housing, wherein the size of the arcuate opening indicates the arc of coverage of the sprinkler head nozzle assembly and a rotating distributor, mounted on a central shaft extending through the housing and the valve member, and operable to deflect a flow of water from the arcuate opening out of the nozzle assembly.
Abstract:
A rotating deflector for use with a rotary sprinkler in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a conical body, a plurality of channels formed on a bottom surface of the conical body and extending from a center of the conical body outward toward an outer edge of the conical body, and a deflector ring rotatably mounted on the conical body such that the deflector ring rotates from a first position in which the deflector ring provides additional rotational force for rotation of the deflector and a second position in which the deflector ring provides substantially no rotational force for rotation of the deflector.
Abstract:
An adjustable spray nozzle with adjustable arc of coverage as well as spray elevation angle and flow rate. A very simple adjustable arc of coverage spray nozzle configuration is also disclosed which may be easily assembled for a particular precipitation rate and/or range of coverage at a selected nominal pressure. Also disclosed is a simple fixed arc of coverage spray nozzle with selectable ranges for a particular precipitation rate.
Abstract:
A rotary drive sprinkler has a nozzle assembly having a recess in a cylindrical housing for receiving a cylindrical nozzle selection disc having a plurality of nozzle openings. The cylindrical nozzle selection disc is rotatable to place one of its nozzle openings in an exit flow passage in the cylindrical housing. An arc set indicating and setting mechanism is included.
Abstract:
An adapter element for a solenoid valve assembly in an irrigation system includes an integral water turbine generator including an impeller positioned in an outlet flow path of a solenoid assembly thereof such that the impeller rotates when water flows to generate electricity.
