摘要: A new compound of formula A for the treatment of aggressive and/or resistant tumors expressing acyl-CoA synthetase 4 (ACSL4) and/or depending on steroids action. More particularly, the compound of the present invention inhibits tumor growth in ACSL4-expressing breast and prostate cancers, inhibits steroid synthesis and sensitizes cells towards chemotherapeutic and hormone therapy agents. Pharmaceutical compositions comprising the ACSL4-inhibitory compound of the invention, pharmaceutical combinations thereof with other anticancer agents and use in therapy.

摘要: A method and device for detection of solid organic matter and fluids in a shale rock by means of low field Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) in a single measurement, by submitting a rock sample to a 2D NMR assay comprising applying a 2D pulse sequence with a saturation-recovery, or inversion-recovery, in an indirect dimension and an FID-CPMG in a direct dimension. The method can be used as an analytical technique for rock samples from unconventional hydrocarbon reservoirs.

摘要: The present invention relates to modified bacterial polypeptides having immunomodulatory and immunostimulatory activity. Most specifically, the present invention relates to modified bacterial polypeptides having an amino acid sequence selected from SEQ ID NO. 1, SEQ ID NO. 2, SEQ ID NO. 3, SEQ ID NO. 4 and SEQ ID NO. 5. The modified polypeptides are the adjuvant components of a pharmaceutical composition for eliciting an immune response against an specific antigen present in the pharmaceutical composition. In a preferred embodiment, the invention provides a pharmaceutical composition for a vaccine which comprises an adjuvant component which is any one of the modified polypeptides, one or more antigens, together with a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient.

摘要: The present invention is directed to an anode for a lithium-ion battery and a method of manufacturing the same. The anode is manufactured from a material composed of Si and C known as SBA-15/C having a porous structure of mesopores interconnected by micropores, wherein carbon nanofibers occupy the pore space of the porous structure. The anode has improved conductivity properties and allows to mitigate the drawbacks linked to the volumetric expansion of the anode during the operation of a lithium-ion battery.

摘要: A system for noninvasive measurement of glucose in blood. The system is based in a sensor of the invention. The user must lay its finger on said sensor, which is excited by means of a radiofrequency sweep generation. The responses of magnitude and phase as a function of the frequency of the reflected wave are measured by an amplitude and phase detector. Said magnitudes are acquired by two analog-to-digital converters of a microcontroller, which in turn has the ability of transmitting them to other devices such as for example a computer or a smart phone.
