摘要: Polymer compositions with an end-capped polyether-polyester copolymer, a transition metal catalyst and an active material that acts on, interacts or reacts with moisture. The polyether-polyester copolymer has (i) polyether segments where at least one polyether segment contains at least one polytetramethylene oxide segment; (ii) polyester segments; (iii) bridging elements of the structure —CO—R2-CO—, where R2 represents an optionally substituted bivalent hydrocarbon residue consisting of 1 to 100 carbon atoms; and (iv) one or two end-caps R1-O—(C2-C4-O—)e-*, where R1 is an optionally substituted hydrocarbon residue and e is an integer of from 0 to 1000. The polymer composition is capable of scavenging oxygen and can be used in compositions and articles to remove oxygen or to function as an active oxygen barrier.

摘要: The invention relates to a novel flame retardant-stabilizer combination for thermoplastic polymers, comprising, as component A, from 25 to 99.9% by weight of a phosphinic acid salt of the formula (I) wherein R1, R2 are the same or different and are each C1-C8-alkyl, linear or branched, C6-C18-aryl, C7-C18-arylalkyl or C7-C18-alkylaryl, or R1 and R2 form one or more rings with each other, M is Mg, Ca, Al, Sb, Sn, Ge, Ti, Zn, Fe, Zr, Ce, Bi, Sr, Mn, Li, Na, K and/or a protonated nitrogen base; m is from 1 to 4; as component B, from 0 to 75% by weight of a synergist or of a phosphorus/nitrogen flame retardant and, as component C, from 0.1 to 30% by weight of telomeric phosphinic acid salts as component D, from 0 to 20% by weight of organo phosphonic acid salt, as component E, from 0 to 5% by weight of phosphonic acid salt, the sum of the components always being 100% by weight, and wherein the angle of repose of said flame retardant-stabilizer combination is between 5° and 45°.

摘要: It has been found, that when co-absorbing substances are added to intrinsic laser-absorbing bismuthoxide, the marking performance with a Nd.YAG-laser is improved or at least kept at the same level by reducing the costs. It is suspected, that the co-absorbing additive is not simply adding a contrast to the polymer by carbonizing the surrounding polymer but helping the bismuthoxide to couple the laser radiation and to ease the color change of this additive. This so found effect helps to cheapen the replacement of antimony trioxide and therewith have a safer and more sustainable solution for the current and future technology of laser marking.
