    摘要: A system, and a method of using a system, for controlled tool operation. The method includes providing a tool used in a force application such as a such torque application. The tool communicates with a controller which can communicate with the tool, and to a display in communication with the tool and the controller. The controller can be programmed with operational information about a tool operation. Information related to the operational information is displayed to a user during use. Service information including at least information about an amount of force applied during use is recorded and stored in the controller. Also disclosed is a computerized system for controlled tool operation which sends operational instructions to the tool before use and retrieves service information from the tool after use.

    摘要: A manually operated torque wrench is capable of providing a finite plurality of selectable torque values. The torque wrench has a wrench head, a handle, and a torque-responsive mechanism for producing an indication when a torque value has been applied by the torque wrench. A selector in operable communication with the torque measuring mechanism and adapted to set the torque measuring mechanism to one of a finite plurality of predetermined selectable torque value is provided. A retaining mechanism positively retains the selector when one of the selectable torque values is selected.

    摘要: An electronic torque wrench has inner and outer telescoping housing, portions and a battery tray assembly telescopically receivable in the inner housing portion and a bezel assembly receivable in an aperture in the outer housing portion and interconnected with the housing portions and the battery support assembly by a single fastener. The bezel assembly carries torque measuring circuitry including a microcontroller, and a four-key pad including arrow keys for incrementing and decrementing a preset torque level at any time, an on/zero key and a units key for toggling among plural different units of torque measurement. The preset torque level is displayed until torque is applied or a key is pressed and can be changed and displayed at anytime.
