The semiconductor processing device is connected to the second air exhaust of the vortex tube so that the semiconductor processing device receives a cooled air stream from the vortex tube, the cooled air stream providing an environment suitable for enabling the semiconductor processing device to perform the semiconductor processing function.

The random prize selection is performed by a computer which uses a random generated number to select a prize from a pay table. The prize may be displayed on or near the gaming table. The player is then awarded the random jackpot amount.

摘要： A pedestrian safety system for a restaurant having a drive-through lane for an automobile, a pickup window, and a pedestrian door. The system includes lane sensors proximate the pickup window that generate lane data indicate of the proximity and motion of an automobile. A controller is in data communication with the lane sensors and programmed to determine proximity and motion status data regarding an automobile in the drive through lane. A pedestrian visual alert member is positioned proximate the pedestrian door of the restaurant and includes Stop, Go, and Caution indicator lamps. An appropriate lamp is energized by the controller depending if the lane sensors detect an automobile moving downstream in the drive-through lane, stopped at the pick-up window, or the lane is clear. The system may also include pedestrian sensors inside the restaurant and a lane visual alert member having indicator lamps to indicate a status of pedestrian traffic.

摘要： Luminescent solar concentrator (LSC) devices are provided herein. The provided LSCs include devices having an oriented luminophore in at least one layer of the LSC device. Other LSC devices include LSCs having both a collector wave guide, incorporating a luminophore, and a transport wave guide, having no luminophore, into which luminesced light from the collector wave guide travels. Additionally, wave guides for use in LSCs are provided that include guided-wave plasmon-polariton modes for improved optical transmission within LSC devices. The devices provided herein, either alone, or in combination, provide improved LSC device performance, particularly with regard to overall device efficiency.

摘要： The dynamics of a disk drive actuator are enhanced by redistributing the mass and stiffness of the structure. The two nodal points of the second primary bending mode of the actuator are relocated to positions that are both radially outboard of their original positions. One nodal point is positioned as close to the read-write head as possible at one end of the actuator, and the other nodal point is positioned at the center of the active legs of the VCM coil at the other end of the actuator. This is done to reduce the off-track displacement associated with this fundamental resonance to near zero, allowing higher track densities to be supported.

摘要： A laser apparatus and method that uses active thermalization of a reflective element to minimize losses and provide wavelength stability. The laser comprises first and second reflectors defining an external cavity, and a compensating member coupled to at least one of the reflectors and configured to thermally position one reflector with respect to the other reflector. The compensating member may be coupled directly to the first reflector and configured to position first reflector with respect to said second reflector. The thermal positioning may be carried out by a thermoelectric controller operatively coupled to the compensating member and configured to thermally adjust the compensating member by heating or cooling thereof. The laser apparatus may comprise a gain medium having first and second output facets and emitting a coherent beam from the first output facet along an optical path. The first reflector is positioned in the optical path, with the second output facet and first reflector defining an external cavity. The compensating member may be thermally conductive and have a high coefficient of thermal expansion.
