    摘要: A davit arm system includes a base that supports a davit arm and engages an underlying ground surface. The system components are preferably designed for arrangement in alternative ways to accommodate different installation environments, and/or for packaging in a bag that may be carried by a single person. The relative positions of the components are preferably adjustable relative to the base to further accommodate different applications. Yet another desirable option is to mount the davit arm on the support base in a manner that allows rotation about both a vertical axis and a horizontal axis. A winch is preferably mounted on the davit arm in a manner that counterbalances the davit arm relative to its vertical axis of rotation.

    摘要: A full-body, fall-arrest harness includes a shoulder strap having opposite distal ends and an intermediate portion disposed there between, and a back strap having opposite distal ends and an intermediate portion disposed there between. A rear suspension assembly is interconnected between the intermediate portion of the shoulder strap and the intermediate portion of the back strap. A seat strap has opposite distal ends connected to respective ends of the shoulder strap, and an intermediate portion disposed there between. Left and right leg straps connected to the intermediate portion of the seat strap. The shoulder strap stretches more readily than any other strap on the harness, and the rear suspension assembly is configured to tighten the shoulder strap relative to the back strap in the event of a fall.

    摘要: A buckle has a first outer plate, a second outer plate, and at least one intermediate plate sandwiched therebetween. Opposing first and second pawls are pivotally mounted between the first outer plate and the second outer plate, with respective force receiving portions projecting outward beyond a perimeter defined by the first outer plate and the second outer plate and extending away from one another. The pawls also have respective latching portions disposed between the first outer plate and the second outer plate and extending toward one another. First and second springs are interconnected between the at least one intermediate plate and respective pawls in a manner that biases the latching portions of the pawls to pivot toward one another. A catch has a strap supporting portion that is sized and configured for connection to a strap, and a distal portion that is sized and configured for insertion between the pawls and engagement between the latching portions. The arrangement is such that both force receiving portions must be moved toward the strap supporting portion to free the distal portion from between the pawls.

    摘要: A sliding rail anchor assembly (22) includes a pair of anchor subassemblies (23) that latch together to slidably engage the crown (29) of a “rail” (30). Each anchor subassembly (23) includes a hook engaging portion (34) and a rail engaging portion (36). The hook engaging portion carries an inboard “post” (46) and forms a hook engaging aperture (44) and an inboard post receiving aperture (40). When the anchor subassemblies (23) are properly aligned and laterally moved together so that the hook engaging portions (34) abut, each inboard post (46) is received by the post receiving aperture (40) in the other anchor subassembly (23). Each anchor subassembly (23) also includes a latch (54) which engages the “head” (60) of the opposing inboard post (46) extending through the post receiving aperture (40). When a safety hook (24) engages hook receiving apertures (44) the latches (54) are held in their fully latched positions. A sliding rail anchor fall-arrest system (20) includes an anchor assembly (22) as described above, a safety hook (24), a safety harness (26) worn by the worker and a flexible cable (28) extending between the hook (24) and the harness (26).
