摘要: A smart door control system for securely receiving a delivery item and controlling access between an interior space and an exterior space, the system comprising a smart door with an access opening and a movable access panel which selectively blocks or permits passage through the access opening. The smart door further has a control module adapted to receive delivery data identifying one or more authorized items, and a scanning device adapted to read a delivery identifier found on the delivery item. The smart door is adapted to reveal the access opening upon the delivery item being matched with one of the authorized items. The access panel is adapted to variably control the size of the access opening in proportion to the dimensions of the delivery item. The system further comprises a user device allowing a user to remotely receive status alerts from the smart door and issue user commands.

摘要: A valve assembly includes a valve seat having a valve opening therein. A valve plate is configured to sealingly engage the valve seat in a closed position for closing the valve opening to thereby close a fluid path through the valve assembly, the valve plate being biased toward the closed position by a first spring. An actuator plate can include an inlet opening therein, the actuator plate being biased in a direction away from the valve plate by a second spring. A member includes a first end fixed to the actuator plate, an interior passage in communication with the inlet opening in the actuator plate, and a second end engageable with the valve plate when a portion of the member passes through the valve opening of the valve seat, wherein the valve plate is configured to open in response to direct fluid pressure when fluid is guided to the valve plate by the member or when fluid pressure on the actuator plate is transmitted to the valve plate via the member.

摘要: An anchor that secures to a connector as part of an anchor assembly is disclosed. The proximal anchor includes a pair of spaced apart prongs which join together at a slot inception. The prongs are shaped and sized of a configuration to define a catch or latching structure. The prongs are configured to capture and deform the suture between the protrusions and prevent the suture from disengaging from the slotted anchor device once engaged.

摘要: A foodstuff comprising at least two components separated by a barrier layer, the barrier layer being a film of a polyol, polyol derivative or mixture thereof and a method for manufacturing such a foodstuff. The method comprises applying a polyol, a polyol derivative or mixture thereof to at least part of a surface of a first component to form a film thereon, and bringing at least part of a surface of a second component into contact with the film. The barrier layer is preferably formed by solidification of a molten polyol, polyol derivative or mixture thereof. A barrier layer formed by applying a film of polyol to a non-edible substrate.
