Abstract:
An information handling system may include a first subsystem operable to receive data associated with computing resources from at least one computing resource provider. The system may further include a second subsystem in communication with the first subsystem, the second subsystem operable to provide the computing resources to at least one computing resource customer, wherein the at least one computing resource provider receives compensation paid by the at least one computing resource customer for completion of a workload. A method for managing a computing resource within an information handling system may include receiving data associated with the computing resource from at least one computing resource provider and providing the computing resources to at least one computing resource customer. The at least one computing resource provider may receive compensation paid by the at least one resource customer for completion of a workload.

Abstract:
A display arrangement comprises an image display device having two or more sets of images for display; a camera directed towards positions adopted by users viewing the display; a face detector for detecting human faces in images captured by the camera, the face detector being arranged to detect faces in at least two face categories; and means, responsive to the a frequency of detection of categories of faces by the face detector at one or more different periods, for selecting a set of images to be displayed on the image display device at that time of day.
Abstract:
A system for watermarking and transferring watermarked material comprises a transaction server, first and second clients, first apparatus for applying a perceptible watermark to the material and second apparatus for removing the watermark. The server, clients and first and second apparatus are linked by one or more communications networks. The system is arranged to implement the steps of: transferring from the transaction server to the first apparatus (i) data for creating a watermark, the creating data including (a) data defining an invertible algorithm and (b) data for creating at least one security key associated with the algorithm and (ii) data for creating a material identifier; using the said first apparatus to apply a material identifier to the material and applying a watermark to the material, using the said creating data; transferring from the first client to the transaction server the said material identifier and data for inverting the algorithm including the said at least one key; transferring the watermarked material to the second apparatus; deriving the said material identifier from the material; transferring the identifier from the second client to the transaction server; subject to predetermined conditions being satisfied, transferring from the transaction server to the second apparatus watermark removal data associated with the said material identifier, the removal data including at least one key and data defining an algorithm for removing the watermark in conjunction with the key; and using the second apparatus to remove the watermark using the said removal data.
Abstract:
An audio and/or video generation apparatus is arranged in operation to generate audio and/or video signals representative of an audio and/or video source has a meta data generation tool which is arranged in operation to generate meta data associated with the audio and/or video signals, wherein the type of meta data generated by the meta data generation tool is user selectable. The audio and/or video generation apparatus may comprise a recording means which is arranged in operation to record the audio and/or video signals on a recording medium, and the audio and/or video generation apparatus may be arranged to receive meta data associated with the audio and/or video signals generated by a data processor, the recording means being arranged in operation to record the meta data on the recording medium with the audio and/or video signals. The meta data may be user generated, such as text describing the audio/video signals, or may be secondary meta data which is automatically generated by the audio/video apparatus. The recording medium may be a linear recording medium, and the recording means may be arranged in operation to record at least one of the user generated meta data and the secondary meta data on the recording medium after the audio and/or video signals at a position at which at least one of the user generated and secondary meta data can be read by a reproducing means before the audio and/or video signals.
Abstract:
A composition for use as a thermal interface material in a heat-generating electronic device is provided. The composition comprises a blend of nitrile rubber and carboxyl-terminated butadiene, carboxyl-terminated butadiene nitrile or a mixture thereof, and conductive filler particles.
Abstract:
A thermal interface member in a heat generating, electronic device is provided. The thermal interface member comprises either a single fluoroelastomer or a blend of fluoroelastomer components that are copolymers of hexafluoropropylene and vinylidene and consists of greater than 40% fluorine along the backbone, and one or more conductive fillers. The fluoroelastomer blend contains at least one component with a Mooney viscosity of 50 poise or less and at least one component with a Mooney viscosity of greater than 50 poise, while the single fluoroelastomer component may have a Mooney viscosity of either less than or greater than 50.
Abstract:
In accordance with embodiments, there are provided mechanisms and methods for facilitating hybrid solutions for staining of specimens according to one embodiment. In one embodiment and by way of example, a method includes receiving a request for a staining process for a specimen placed on a specimen container that is further placed within a process chamber, where the specimen includes a specimen needing a diagnosis. The method may further include reading or capturing process data relating to the specimen, where the process data includes at least one of basic information and customization instructions. The method may further include facilitating the staining process of the specimen based on the process data.
