Abstract:
The present invention relates to the use as an antimicrobial of tamarind seed polysaccharide (TSP) and to antimicrobial compositions which contain it as active ingredient. Antimicrobial compositions containing TSP are particularly useful for topical administration in the treatment and/or prevention of microbial infections of the skin and mucosa.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to compositions comprising Andrographis paniculata extracts combined with Ginkgo biloba extracts complexed with phospholipids. Moreover, the compositions administered in oils rich in ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids demonstrate a further synergic effect between the ingredients.Said compositions are useful in the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders, in particular Alzheimer's disease and multiple sclerosis.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an extract of Salix spp obtainable by fractioning on a resin and to the process for its preparation. The extract of the invention is characterized by an high content in salicin derivatives, reduced content in high molecular tannins and a content in proanthocyanidins sufficient to inhibit some tissue metal proteases. The product is formulated in oils rich in ω-3 and ω-6 acids which provide a better absorption of the extract active principles, also increasing synergetically their action.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the use as an anti-inflammatory of tamarind seed polysaccharide (TSP) and to anti-inflammatory compositions which contain it as active ingredient. Anti-inflammatory compositions containing TSP are particularly useful for topical administration in the treatment of inflammatory diseases of the skin and mucosa.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to the use of extracts of plants or roots of the Paeonia genus, in particular Paeonia lactiflora, for the preparation of growth promoters for use in livestock.
