Abstract:
A heat insulation roller of an image forming apparatus of the present invention arranges hollow pipes between a core roller and an outer peripheral roller and obtains a high heat insulating effect though it is light in weight and inexpensive. Further, the core roller and hollow pipes are inserted into the outer peripheral roller before pipe extension, and the outer peripheral roller is extended, and the hollow pipes are uniformly adhered and fixed between the core roller and the outer peripheral roller, and then the ends of the outer peripheral roller and hollow pipes are removed, thus the core roller can be secondarily worked easily.
Abstract:
A fixing device of the present invention supports rotatably a fixing belt heated by a heating member using a separation roller having hollow pipes arranged between a core roller and an outer peripheral roller and producing a high heat insulating effect though it is light in weight and inexpensive and prevents the fixing belt from falling in temperature due to the separation roller.
Abstract:
An ink-jet printer includes a rotary drum 10 for rotating at a constant speed, a sheet loader for loading a paper sheet onto the rotary drum 10, a sheet holding system 20 for holding the paper sheet loaded by the sheet loader on the rotary drum 10, and a print head 200 for printing an image by ejecting ink onto the paper sheet which is held on the rotary drum 10 by the sheet holding system 20 and rotated together with the rotary drum 10. In particular, the sheet loader has a pair of loading rollers 91 and 92 for feeding the paper sheet while pinching the paper sheet, and a roller moving mechanism 28 for separating the loading roller 91 from the other loading roller 92 to release the paper sheet after the leading edge of the paper sheet has been held on the rotary drum 10.
Abstract:
The thermal head supporting device of the invention comprises a pair of positioning members disposed at both sides of a platen, a head press/release mechanism movable toward and away from the platen, and a head unit coupled with the head press/release mechanism. The positioning members are disposed coaxially with the platen. The head unit is formed of a head supporting member removably coupled to the head press/release mechanism with a predetermined play, a thermal head supported on the head supporting member and having a plurality of heating elements arranged in a straight line thereon and in confronting relationship with the platen, and a pair of engagement members attached to both sides of the thermal head adjustably for position, and each of the engagement members has a cutting formed therein allowing each positioning member to be removably fitted therein.
Abstract:
An ink jet printer includes a rotary drum having a peripheral surface for holding a paper sheet, a print head for printing an image on the paper sheet held on the peripheral surface by jetting ink to the paper sheet, and an elevator mechanism for setting the print head to a printing position close to the peripheral surfice at a time of printing and to a non-printing position farther from the peripheral surface than the printing position along a normal line of the peripheral surface at a time of maintenance. Particularly, the elevator mechanism includes a pair of guide rails set parallel to the normal line of the peripheral surface, a slider unit rotatably holding the print head and slidably attached to the guide rails, and a driving section for moving the slider unit up and down. The slider unit includes a spindle, a head support member rotatable about the spindle by a rotational force applied due to a weight of the printhead, and a posture regulator for regulating a posture of the print head with respect to the guide rails against the rotational force.
Abstract:
A home position detecting apparatus includes a detector to generate a detection signal when the home position of a print wheel is detected and a stepping motor to rotate the print wheel in response to a drive signal. This home position detecting apparatus further includes a control circuit which gives the drive signal having a specific phase to the stepping motor in response to the detection signal from the detector.
Abstract:
A daisy wheel type printing device comprises a daisy printing wheel including a plurality of type holding members having type at the respective ends thereof, wheel driving motor for rotating the daisy printing wheel to set the type designated by input character data to a printing position, a printing hammer for hitting the type set to the printing position, and a control circuit for driving the printing hammer when a preset a period of time has elapsed after the type designated by the input character data has arrived at the printing position. The preset period of time is varied in response to the rotation amount by which said daisy printing wheel is rotated to set the designated type at the printing position. The delay is larger for a wheel rotation of less than a predetermined amount than it is for a large rotation.

Abstract:
An ink-jet printer includes a rotary drum which rotates at a constant speed; a medium holding system which holds a printing medium on the rotary drum; and a print head which prints an image by jetting ink onto a printing medium which is held on the rotary drum by the medium holding system and which rotates along with the rotary drum, while the rotary drum makes a predetermined number (greater than one) of rotations during a printing operation. The medium holding system includes a front-end clamping section, on the peripheral surface of the rotary drum, for clamping a front end of the printing medium; a rear-end clamping section set apart from the front-end clamping section in a rotational direction of the rotary drum along the peripheral surface of the rotary drum, for clamping a rear end of the printing medium; and a driving section for driving the front-end clamping section and the rear-end clamping section to clamp the printing medium on the peripheral surface of the rotary drum during one rotation of the rotary drum made before printing of the image is initiated and to release the printing medium from the peripheral surface of the rotary drum during another rotation of the rotary drum made after printing of the image is completed. A motion of the rear-end clamping section is mechanically enabled by a motion of the front-end clamping section after the rotary drum rotates by an amount which corresponds to a distance between the front-end and rear-end clamping sections.
Abstract:
In a thermal printer according to the present invention, a platen can be mounted in a pressed abutted condition against a thermal head by fixing the platen in a state where the platen is pressed toward a thermal head which is fixedly provided, and when the pressed abutted condition is released by the operation of a release lever the platen is floated in a free condition and it can be easily taken out.
