摘要: An image forming apparatus, which is configured to form an image on a sheet, includes an image forming unit configured to form an unfixed toner image on the sheet, and a fixing unit configured to fix the unfixed toner image to the sheet by heating the sheet bearing the unfixed toner image while conveying the sheet by a fixing nip portion. The image forming apparatus can perform a cleaning mode for cleaning the fixing unit by conveying a sheet with an unfixed toner image for cleaning formed thereon by the fixing nip portion. At a time of the cleaning mode, the image forming unit forms the unfixed toner image for cleaning on a sheet surface opposite from a sheet surface where the unfixed toner image is formed at a time of image formation.

摘要: Provided is an oriented laminated film, characterized in that the film is obtained by alternately laminating Layer A and Layer B such that reflection is generated by optical interference due to a difference in refractive indices of Layer A and Layer B, wherein Layer A includes an aromatic polyester containing trimethylene-2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylate as a main repeating unit and has a layer thickness in a range of 0.05 to 0.5 μm and Layer B includes a polylactic acid composition and has a layer thickness in a range of 0.05 to 0.5 μm, and a reflectivity curve thereof for light in a wavelength range of 400 to 1,600 nm has a reflection peak having a maximum reflectivity which is at least 20% higher than the reflectivity baseline. The present invention can provide a laminated film having high reflectivity with improved thickness variation associated with stretching treatment and improved hue irregularity attributable to a state of lamination.

摘要: In an image forming apparatus, a first sequence group operates after input of a print signal and a second sequence group is started up at timing when a temperature T of a fixing device has reached a certain temperature T1 after the input of the print signal or timing for which a temperature rising curve is calculated from a time for the temperature T to reach a certain temperature T2 from the temperature T1 during temperature rising of the fixing device. With this image forming apparatus, it becomes possible to reduce unnecessary operations of a developing device and a photosensitive drum and extend a usable life of the developing device even if image formation and temperature rising of the fixing device are performed in parallel.

摘要: An image forming apparatus includes an image bearing member for bearing an electrostatic image, a plurality of developing units for accommodating developers having different colors, a light source for projecting light onto a developed image, and a photosensor for sensing reflected light from the developed image. The apparatus operates in either a first mode for determining the density of the developed image based on the output of the photosensor when light having a predetermined amount is projected from the light source, or in a second mode for determining the density of the developed image based on the amount of light projected from the light source when the output of the photosensor has a predetermined value. Either the first mode or the second mode is selected in accordance with the color of a developer being utilized during the image formation operation.
