摘要: A method, apparatus, and machine readable storage medium is disclosed for handling Network-Request-Support (NRS) and Bearer Control Mode (BCM) at a Policy and Charging Rules Node (PCRN) and a Evolved Packet Core (EPC) gateway node. Embodiments maintain corresponding buffers for NRS values at the PCRN and the gateway and maintain synchronization between them. A gateway sends a credit control request (CCR) message to a PCRN and updates a local NRS buffer at the gateway when a successful credit control acknowledgement (CCA) response is received from the PCRN. Similarly, the PCRN updates a local NRS buffer at the PCRN when a successful credit control acknowledgement (CCA) response is sent to the gateway.

For example, in some embodiments the first network device is configured to control switching of traffic between the selective and inclusive routes for the multicast by utilizing a selective route for the multicast responsive to a determination that traffic for the multicast is at or above a bandwidth threshold and the number of receivers is below an add threshold, and utilizing an inclusive route for the multicast responsive to a determination that traffic for the multicast is below the bandwidth threshold or the number of receivers is above a delete threshold.

摘要: Disclosed is a method of identifying service topologies in a network, including determining a group of network devices having a same traffic identifier and indicating each network device of the group as not processed, selecting a first network device that is indicated as not processed in the group, indicating the selected first network device as partially processed, and associating the first network device with a service container identifier, identifying, for each port of the selected first network device, at least another network device in the group indicated as not processed connected to the first network device or a termination point, wherein the identified another network device is identified as partially processed and associated with the service container identifier, repeating step (c) for each identified another network device until only termination points are reached, wherein the identified another network device becomes the first network device in step (c), and when any network devices in the group of network devices remain not processed repeating the steps (b)-(d).

摘要: In one embodiment, a tunnel to be affected by configuration of a service in a network is identified and key information for the identified tunnel is obtained from a corresponding router. The tunnel is assigned to a key group based on the key information, and provisioning information associated with the tunnel on the router is updated based on the assigned key group in conjunction with configuration of the service. The updating of the provisioning information may comprise altering the key information on the router to include a key associated with the assigned key group. Also, one or more keys not associated with the assigned key group may be deleted from the router and from a management entity of the network.
