    摘要: A system and method for efficiently transferring data from an electronic camera device includes a camera device that is configured to capture image data and temporarily store the image data into an economical limited local buffer memory. A transfer manager from the camera device may then periodically arbitrate for access to a wireless communications network, and may transfer the captured image data from the buffer memory to a designated data destination, such as an image service on a distributed computer network like the Internet. A system user may then efficiently access the transferred image data from a dedicated storage location on the data destination by utilizing any appropriate data-access device, such as a personal computer device or a portable electronic device.

    摘要: A system and method for denoising using signal dependent adaptive weights includes an imaging device that captures image data corresponding to a photographic target. A denoising manager identifies similar pixels from said image data that are located within a pre-defined processing window around the pixel to be denoised. The denoising manager computes signal-dependent weighting values that correspond to respective ones of the similar pixels. The denoising manager then calculates the denoised pixel value by utilizing the weighting values in conjunction with raw pixel values of the similar pixel set. In this manner all pixels in the image are denoised.

    摘要: A system and method for efficient transfer of image data to a service provider comprises a digital image source, an image pump, and a communication path to the service provider. The digital image source may be connected to the image pump using any appropriate communication configuration. Digital image data from the digital image source is transferred to the image pump, which may format the digital image data to conform to requirements of the particular service provider. The image pump may also attach customer account information and user service selections to the digital image data. The image pump may then send the digital image data and any attached information to the service provider. Image data is initially provided to include a query image and a series of test images. A feature detector calculates image parameters corresponding to the image data. The image parameters include mean absolute values, variance values, and texture angles. The feature detector utilizes the image parameters to calculate distance values that represent texture similarity characteristics between the query image and each of the test images. The feature detector then evaluates the distance values to determine one or more matching images from among the test images.

The receiver device may preferably include a demultiplexer configured to recover elementary bitstreams from a multiplexed bitstream. The demultiplexer may also preferably extract decode timestamps and output timestamps corresponding to the elementary bitstreams. One or more decoders may then decode the elementary bitstreams to produce decoded frames in accordance with the foregoing decode timestamps. One or more output modules may then process the decoded frames to produce processed frames in accordance with the output timestamps. In accordance with the present invention, an output controller may preferably perform an output timing resynchronization procedure following a program change event to align output timings of the processed frames in accordance with new output timestamps from the selected program.
