摘要: A bracket contest system has an entrant device connected to a server having a set of matches in a single elimination bracket tournament in memory. Each match is between two participants in the tournament in which one half of the participants are eliminated in each round. The entrant device receives predictions before a start of a first match. Each prediction includes a pre-set number of predicted winners of each match starting with a winner of a final match. The predictions are entered sequentially based on a predicted final rank of the participants, from first place to nth place. After each selection, a next selection is limited to participants from a predetermined valid position in the tournament. After receiving results of the set of matches, a score of the predictions is made based upon the results, and if the score exceeds a threshold, the predictions are declared a winning entry.

摘要: The water, cleaner, and wipe supply station includes multiple, related functions. Specifically: cleaning and refilling bottles with drinking water; cleaning and refilling cleaning product containers; and cleaning and refilling containers with pre-moistened wipes. The result is a reduction of waste introduced into landfills, and a means of centrally distributing clean water, cleaning products, and wipes without the need for additional containers.

摘要: The cart pocket is a recess or pocket for installation at the front of a shopping cart or trolley. The cart pocket retains the end of one or more long objects, preventing the long objects from sliding through the wire frame of the shopping cart. The cart pocket is preferably built into the cart during initial construction but can be installed by removing a section of the wire or plastic frame of the cart, this section replaced with the cart pocket. This installation is ideal because the wire mesh is removed, simplifying access to the recess. Placing the recess outside the basket avoids interference with the contents of the basket. Alternatively, the cart pocket may be installed without removing a section of wire frame, the pocket placed either inside or outside of the basket of the cart.

摘要: A system, method, and apparatus for rapid transdermal disinfection includes a processor or equivalent that generates a series of pulses having pulse widths limited to less than two microseconds. The pulses are amplified to a direct-current voltage of between 150 volts and 500 volts and connected to a positive electrode for attaching to an animal. A negative electrode for attaching to the animal is electrically connected to a current limiter for limiting electrical current flow between the positive electrode and the negative electrode to between 0.2 amps and 2 amps.

摘要: The bone fixation tangs with self-balancing extension compensate for the internal cavity shape of the intramedullary canal, thus avoiding the related issues of over-extension and under-extension of tangs. Over-extension, or pushing the tangs too deeply in the inner wall of the bone, is unnecessarily traumatic to the patient and may weaken the bone. Under-extension, or stopping extension before the tangs have locked into the interior surface of the bone, results in reduced mechanical strength, thus compromising the ability of the nail to provide support to the bone. The bone fixation tangs with self-balancing extension address this issue by allowing the tangs to balance their extension.

摘要: A method of sequestering carbon captured from the atmosphere by plants (biomass) waste material includes segregating incoming waste material that includes biomass into high-moisture incoming waste material and low-moisture incoming waste material. The low-moisture incoming waste material is that which has a moisture content less than or equal to the moisture content threshold, for example, paper, cardboard, and sawdust. The low-moisture incoming waste material is stored in a dry containment area, thereby emissions of carbon dioxide or methane from the low-moisture incoming waste material is reduced as moisture is required by such material to decompose.
