    摘要: The present invention is to provide a method and system using compressed data directly for target tracking and target classification in videos. The present invention uses a video imager to generate compressive measurements, and a random subsampling operator to compress the video data. It uses a Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) for target detection and manual location of the target and putting a bounding box around the targets in the first frame is not required. It further applies a saliency-based algorithm to re-center the captured target. This re-centering process can be repeated multiple times and each application of re-centering will improve over the previous one. A pixel completion algorithm is used to fill in the missing pixels for the captured target area. A Sparse Representation Classification (SRC) for target classification. Both the target templates in a dictionary and captured targets are transformed to the frequency domain using Fast Fourier Transform (FFT).

    摘要: An active noise reduction system and method to cancel fan or blower noise. The system utilizes 2 microphones: one to pick up the subject noise and the noisy signal at far field. The proposed system utilizes a portable loudspeaker that is placed near the subject. The loudspeaker broadcasts omni-directional or directional anti-phase signals to reduce the noise at far field. The system includes a real-time processor (DSP or FPGA) with fast adaptive filter to process the 2 microphone signals and generate the anti-phase signal. The adaptive filter uses the second microphone as a reference to generate an out-of-phase signal, which can then suppress the far field noise. The system is simple to set up and portable. The system utilizes frequency-domain adaptive filter and proven algorithms to quickly compute the anti-phase signals for cancelling detected noise.

    摘要: A mobile App using biometric encryption and decryption for privacy and security having both authentication and recognition functions. It utilizes the built-in camera of the mobile device to provide facial images for authentication purposes. It further includes a secured data communication system for conveniently sending and receiving data on the mobile devices. The secured data communication system also utilizes biometric encryption and decryption technology for granting permissions to access the data communication system. The biometric encryption is implemented by using a selective biometric feature and optimized biometric feature detection and tracking methods. Different biometric feature authentication methods are optimized for use on various mobile platforms, such as, Android, iOS, Windows and others. Data encryption and decryption are achieved by using selected biometric feature vectors as cryptographic keys. The biometric data encryption system further includes liveness detection module with anti-spoofing features to ensure the encryption and decryption processes only accept biometric features from a live person conveniently without the user's intervention. Alternative authentication method is provided if the biometric feature authentication module fails to recognize the valid user, or fails in the liveness detection module in order to maintain privacy and security of the data in the mobile device.

    摘要: A hybrid solar collector and geothermal system collects low grade heat energy derived from the sun. A simple heat engine converts this energy into mechanical energy, and then into electrical energy using an air-motor-generator setup, by exploiting the difference in temperature between the solar collector and the geothermal heat sinks. Waste heat trapped in an attic is directed to the solar collector to supplement the collection of low grade heat energy. In addition, cryogenic liquid is used to create the temperature difference in the geothermal heat sink when low grade heat energy is unavailable. This system does not produce any CO2 because it does not use combustion to produce electricity.

    摘要: A system and method for generating high-resolution stereo images and depth map in multi-camera systems having multiple cameras with different resolutions and view angles. One method is to improve the lower resolution image and combining it with the higher resolution image, then the resulting image is processed by extensive algorithms to ensure utmost high quality. The system can also handle non-planar image contents. The process is to generate a crude depth map first and then divide the map into multiple layers. Each layer will be separately registered. The results from the registered layers will be merged to improve the depth map generation. The improved depth map could be repeatedly fed back to the beginning of the process to further improve the registration performance. The system and method can generate stereo images using uncalibrated cameras with different views and resolutions.

It can generate analytics of water events and integrating water models for displays. The present invention further produces derivatives, tools, and informational services for flood risk assessment; flood determination; and insurance rating. The present invention integrates and maintains all relevant inputs in one system for modeling water events at a given location in a timely fashion. The input datasets include water events' extent, flooded areas, floodplain, inundated areas and measurement of water condition. The datasets may include other data, such as, terrain elevation data, land use land cover data, soil conductivity, water gauge measurements and hydrologic regression equations for calculating flows. Other inputs may also include hydrologic modeling algorithms, hydraulic modeling algorithms, geospatial algorithms, and local or remote data of real-time water conditions acquired through machine services.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for direct energy conversion that combines the properties of Type II superconductor thin films, including the Meissner effect to create vortices to control and modulate static flux coupled in a magnetic circuit, where the laws of induction are used to produce an electrical signal without the use of moving armatures. The dynamics of magnetic flux modulation results from suppression of superconductivity and the Meissner effect by external photon irradiation. The apparatus employs a vortex channel based on the Meissner Effect, a laser, a permanent magnet, fiber optics for carrying the laser beam to the vortex channel, and a transformer composed of two separate windings. The transformer windings are arranged in a circuit having a first path through the permanent magnet and a first coil of the transformer windings; and a second path through the permanent magnet, the vortex channel, and the second coil of the transfer windings.

    摘要: The present invention integrates a low power and high compression pixel-wise coded exposure (PCE) camera with advanced object detection, tracking, and classification algorithms into a real-time system. A PCE camera can control exposure time of every pixel in the camera and at the same time can compress multiple frames into a compressed frame. Consequently, it can significantly improve the dynamic range as well as reduce data storage and transmission bandwidth usage. Conventional approaches utilize PCE camera for object detection, tracking and classification, require the compressed frames to be reconstructed. These approaches are extremely time consuming and hence makes the PCE cameras unsuitable for real-time applications. The present invention presents an integrated solution that incorporates advanced algorithms into the PCE camera, saving reconstruction time and making it feasible to work in real-time applications.

There are four fusion approaches disclosed in the present invention, e.g. Parallel one-step fusion approach; Sequential fusion of various bands; Sequential-Parallel fusion; and Parallel-Sequential fusion.
