The method can include displaying a multimedia selection at a display device coupled to a first receiver of a video distribution system, where the multimedia selection is determined by a user of a second receiver. A multimedia device can include a user interface module to receive a command from a first user to accept a channel selection of a second user. An indication of an attribute of multimedia content associated with a channel selected at a multimedia device can be received from a server having a channel content guide and stored to a database.

摘要： A system and method for delivering data via an internet protocol television (IPTV) network are disclosed. In a method disclosed, a first data packet of a first data stream is received. The method determines whether a corresponding second data packet of a second data stream has been forwarded. The corresponding second data packet includes a second payload substantially the same as a first payload of the first data packet. When the corresponding second data packet has not been forwarded, the method forwards the first data packet.

In one embodiment, a network monitoring method includes determining that a caller can receive audible information via a first access device and graphical information via a second access device. The control logic processes a dial-out request when the ATA is in the unregistered state. The control logic directs the packet generator to generate an invite packet for an emergency proxy to handle the dial-out request on behalf of the ATA when the ATA is in the unregistered state.
