摘要: A detection system with a two-step homogenizing device (1) and with a receiver (42). Viewed in a field direction (54) of a photon field, the homogenizing device (1) is located between a measurement area (44) and the receiver (42). The homogenizing device (1) includes a first diffuser (10) and a second diffuser (12). The first diffuser (10) generates an intermediate photon field from an input photon field. The second diffuser (12) generates an output photon field from the intermediate photon field. The receiver (42) generates signals depending on the incident photon field.

摘要: A system and a process enable a workplace (A.1, A.2) to be monitored remotely. A monitoring unit for the workplace includes a camera (2.1, 2.2, 2.3), a gas measuring device (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4) and a workplace computer (3.1, 3.2). A communication unit (10) communicates with a control center with a central output computer and an output unit. Signals from the camera and the gas measuring device are transmitted by cable or wirelessly to the workplace computer and from there further transmitted by cable or wirelessly to the communication unit. The signals are transmitted wirelessly from the communication unit to the central output computer. The central output computer causes the received signals to be output on the output unit in a form that can be perceived by a human. The data connection between the communication unit and the central output computer may be routed via a public mobile radio network.

摘要: A gas detection device and process detect a target gas for monitoring an area for the target gas. A radiation source emits electromagnetic radiation (50) that penetrates the area and impinges on an array of filters (15, 25) that distributes the impinging radiation (50) onto a first gas photosensor (35), a second gas photosensor (37) and a reference photosensor (36). The first gas photosensor (35) is only sensitive to radiation in a first wavelength range, the second gas photosensor (37) is only sensitive to radiation in a second wavelength range and the reference photosensor (36) is only sensitive to radiation in a reference wavelength range. The wavelength ranges are spaced apart from one another. An analysis unit (10) analyzes signals [Sig(35), Sig(36), Sig(37)] from the three photosensors (35, 36, 37) and carries out three pair comparisons to determine whether or not the target gas is present.

摘要: A gas detection device (100) and a process monitor an area for a combustible target gas. A gas sample (G) enters into a measuring chamber (9). A semiconductor sensor (1) including an electrically conductive sensor component (10) has an electrical detection variable that changes with decreasing concentration of the combustible target gas. An oxidation component (2) oxidizes combustible target gas in the measuring chamber. The detection variable is measured at a detection time, and the oxidation component is in a switched-on state or is switched on. The oxidation component oxidizes at least a part of the combustible target gas in the measuring chamber up to a reference time. The detection variable is measured again at the reference time. The difference between the measured value at the reference time and the measured value at the detection time is an indicator for the concentration of combustible target gas.

摘要: A fixed bed (10) is provided for a fixed-bed reactor (100). The fixed bed (10) contains a particulate carrier and at least one reactive substance. The carrier is a silicate compound and the reactive substance is an organometallic pyridine compound. A method for preparing such a fixed bed is provided. The method includes the steps of preparing the carrier, preparing an impregnation and treating the carrier with the impregnation. In addition, a gas-measuring tube is provided with a correspondingly prepared fixed bed as well. A method uses organometallic pyridinium compounds, especially pyridinium dichromate, in a fixed-bed reactor for detecting alcohol compounds and for preparing formaldehyde and/or acetaldehyde.
