摘要： A main member of soft plastic material and a second member of hard plastic material, chemically compatible and thermally bonded together. The second member is partially slitted having a ring element embedded in the main member, and segments distributed circumferentially around the ring. The segments can be swung radially to facilitate insertion into a hole, and they spring outwardly to grip the panel in which the grommet is mounted. In one form the second member is entirely slitted, and thereby made up of separate segments or fingers.

摘要： A clamp system for maintaining an end of a high temperature fluid bearing tube in substantially sealing engagement with a surface and in substantial alignment with an aperture in the surface positioned substantially transverse to the tube. A bracket member is provided to hold the end of the tube against the surface. An annular flange is provided on the end of the tube, to form the seal and provide a surface against which the bracket member pushes. The annular flange is advantageously configured so as to position the seal radially away from the tube so as to reduce transmission of heat from the fluid within the tube to the seal, to, in turn, protect the material of the mating surfaces from heat degradation.

摘要： A crush tube is used to provide a fluid connection between a first and second member. The crush tube has two tubular portions with a spherical portion therebetween. The tubular portions are loosely received in nominally coaxial bores having entrance chamfers. The spherical portion is deformed into contact with the chamfers as well as between the members whereby the tube provides a sealed fluid path between the bores.

The sections (12) may be combined to form any predetermined shape and size depending on the particular application.

摘要： A fluid connector consisting of a longitudinally extending tubular member having a central passageway extending therethrough with the one end of such central passageway being threaded. An annular flange on the intermediate exterior portion divides the tubular member into an upper portion and a lower portion, which lower portion has a thin walled portion that extends from the flange to the one threaded end portion. The upper exterior portion of the tubular member is threaded to facilitate connection to a threaded conduit. The thin walled lower portion is subject to being upset for cooperation with the flange to secure the tubular connector to a fluid line. Such flange is subjected to a bending to complement the exterior contour of the conduit receiving such connector.

摘要： The O-ring seal at the tip end of a particular model of fuel injector is replaced by an adapter grommet which provides an axial seal. This makes the fuel injector interchangeable with another model of fuel injector that is specifically designed for an axial seal. The adapter grommet comprises a radially inner portion disposed in the injector tip's circular groove that was orignally intended for the O-ring seal, and a radially outer portion that axially overlaps both the groove and a portion of the tip that is distal to the groove. The radially outer portion of the adapter grommet provides the axial seal with the shoulder of a hole into which the tip is inserted.

摘要： An apparatus for sealably and flexibly joining together a pipe member and an enclosed body in a sewer system having a seal comprising an elastic sleeve with an annular cavity. The cavity contains a coagulant material that forms a cellular, viscous gel when activated with water. When the seal is properly positioned, water is pumped under pressure through a valve into the cavity to expand the elastic sleeve into sealing engagement with the pipe and the manhole. In time the water and coagulant material forms the gel that remains in the viscous state.
