    摘要: The present invention provides a wireless remote-control light adjuster comprising a remote-control module and a light adjustment device connected to at least one light bulb. A key module for keying in internal codes of the light adjustment device and used as remote-control keys is disposed in the remote-control module so that the remote-control module can learn each internal code and simultaneously generates several remote-control digital codes. The remote-control module emits out a remote-control signal having different remote-control digital codes to the light adjustment device according to the change of pressed times of the remote-control keys on the key module. The light adjustment device outputs different degrees of electricity to the light bulb according to the remote-control digital code of the received remote-control signal. The present invention has the advantage of remotely controlling the brightness of light bulbs.

    摘要: A meter is provided of the type used for recording data primarily related to power and/or energy use. The meter includes an IrDA port for wirelessly transmitting and receiving data to and from the meter. Preferably, the IrDA port operates according to one or more of the standard IrDA protocols and is preferably mounted on the face of the meter to allow data to be read using a handheld computing device. Upon the detection of the handheld computing device, the IrDA port automatically transmits data to the handheld computing device. The handheld computing device is preferably programmed with application software for processing the read data. The processed data can then be transmitted either wirelessly or non-wirelessly to a computing device, such as a remote server or personal computer, for preparing bills, statistical charts, energy reports, etc. Alternatively, the handheld computing device stores the read data for transmission to another computing device, such as a server or a personal computer, at a later time. Data can also be transmitted from the handheld computing device to the IrDA port, such as to re-program and configure the meter.

    摘要: A method and apparatus by which an adult accompanying a child riding a mobile ride-on toy, can continuously determine if the child is free to fully operate the toy, or else, said adult can force the said toy to slow down, and/or to stop, and/or to otherwise control the ride-on toy in order to protect the child's safety, is disclosed. Said adult can gain control as specified above, by operating a wireless remote-control unit. Furthermore, said adult can limit the distance between the ride-on toy and the said adult, so that the child cannot drive too far away from the adult, i.e., the toy automatically stops as soon as the predetermined range limit is reached. Also, the ride-on toy can be used as long as it is under the control of said adult, but it automatically stops when said adult loses control over the ride-on toy.
