摘要: A stepping motor control circuit includes a rotation detecting means for detecting an induced signal generated by rotation of a rotor of a stepping motor, and detecting a rotation state of the stepping motor according to whether the induced signal exceeds a predetermined reference threshold voltage in a predetermined detection section, and a control means for controlling driving of the stepping motor by using any one of a plurality of main driving pulses having energy different from each other or a correction driving pulse having energy higher than energy of each main driving pulse according to a detection result of the rotation detecting means. The detection section is divided into a first section immediately after driving with the main driving pulse, a second section after the first section, a third section after the second section, and a fourth section after the third section, and the control means lengthens at least one of the first and second sections when the rotation detecting means has detected an induced signal exceeding the reference threshold voltage in the second section.

摘要: A chronograph with a chronograph driving mechanism through which a chronograph hand staff of a chronograph hand can be driven in rotation, with a rattrapante hand staff, arranged coaxially to the chronograph hand staff, of a first rattrapante hand that can be driven in superimposed position with the chronograph hand. The chronograph hand staff and rattrapante hand staff are connected to one another in locked-rotation, wherein the rotation of the rattrapante hand staff can be blocked in order to display a split time. A second rattrapante hand is connected frictionally with a second rattrapante hand staff arranged coaxially to the chronograph hand staff. The chronograph hand and the second rattrapante hand can be driven in movement synchronously in superimposed position, wherein the rotation of both rattrapante hand staffs can be blocked independently from one another in order to display two different lap times.

摘要: A mechanical timepiece has an ornamental portion and a plurality of movable units operable to expose and hide the ornamental portion. Each of the movable units includes a divisional segment for exposing and hiding the ornamental portion by inward and outward movement, a holding plate configured to hold the divisional segment in a movable manner so as to move the divisional segment in inward and outward directions, and an attachment structure for attaching the divisional segment to the holding plate. The attachment structure is formed integrally with at least one of the holding plate and the divisional segment. The attachment structure includes engagement portions projecting from both sides of the holding plate and a pair of holder members formed on a surface of the divisional segment so as to have an L-shaped cross-section with their tip portions being opposed to each other. The pair of holder members extends in a predetermined direction so as to sandwich peripheral surfaces of the engagement portions therebetween.

摘要: Novel hour and minute hands for teaching reading and passage of time on an analog timepiece. The invention comprises hour and minute hands located centrally and pivotally on the timepiece. The hour hand having at its outer tip a shape through which the hour numerals can be read. The shaft of the hour hand being of a length such that the shape at the tip highlights the correct hour numeral. The shape is sized and positioned on the tip of the hour hand such that when the shaft is set to normal hour hand positions, the correct hour numeral is visible through the shape. The minute hand having at its outer tip a shape through which the minute numerals can be read. The minute hand being of a length such that the hollow shape highlights the correct minute numeral.

摘要: An assembly is provided that allows construction of a watch that includes multifunctional illumination options. The assembly of the present invention provides a means for illuminating the watch face, a high intensity flashlight and a watch locator beacon. The assembly overcomes the drawbacks associated with filament lamps by using LED lamps that provide greater brightness with less power consumption. Further, the present invention relies on a unique feature of LED's, whereby they are only illuminated by DC power at the right polarity to provide a compact assembly that utilized a minimum amount of space.
