摘要: A heater system for an electric vehicle that is void of engine coolant. The heater system can include an air duct having an opening into a passenger compartment of the vehicle and a heater unit attached to the air duct. The heater unit can have a self-contained quantity of oil within an oil reservoir and an oil channel in fluid communication with the oil reservoir. The oil channel can be located between a front wall and a back wall of the heater unit and the unit can also have an electric heating element at least partially within the oil reservoir. The electric heater unit can be operable to heat oil in the oil reservoir and thereby result in the oil flowing through the oil channel and heating the front wall and the back wall of the unit.

摘要: A method of controlling an air conditioning compressor in a heating ventilation and air conditioning system having a evaporator including a phase change material is presented. The method includes the steps of measuring an evaporator output air temperature, determining a state of charge value by calculating a difference between an estimated refrigerant temperature based on the evaporator output air temperature and a phase change material freeze temperature and integrating this difference over time and operating the air conditioning compressor to maintain the state of charge value between an upper and lower limit. A method of recovering braking energy in a vehicle containing a heating ventilation and air conditioning system having the evaporator including the phase change material is also presented.

摘要: Apparatus and method transfer heat between a geothermal mass and a geothermal heat exchange unit embedded within the geothermal mass, utilizing a geothermal heat exchange system comprised of the heat exchange unit. The unit includes a chamber enclosed by plate-like walls presenting a very large heat transfer area. The walls are spaced apart by a small distance compared to the heat transfer area, configuring the chamber to contain a thin, film-like volume of a liquid heat exchange medium. The heat exchange medium is flowed into and out of the chamber at a prescribed rate of flow, and the capacity of the chamber is such that the volume of heat exchange medium contained within the chamber during operation of the geothermal heat exchange system is great enough to enable the flowing heat exchange medium to mix with static, dwelled heat exchange medium maintained within the chamber as heat exchange medium flows through the chamber at the prescribed rate of flow and is circulated in the system.

This embodiment comprises a housing, a primary heating zone located in the housing and comprising one or more heating chambers. A blower having an exhaust opening is located adjacent the primary heating zone and is positioned to force air through the primary heating zone. A zoning baffle is located between the blower and the primary heating zone. The zoning baffle comprises spaced apart baffles oriented substantially parallel with the one or more heating chambers. A method of manufacturing a gas furnace is also provided.

A polybutene layer with rosin as an activator is formed on the inner surface of the hot water supply pipe made of thermoplastic elastomer, and reduces the diameter and the length of the hot water supply pipes installed in the panel and the panel thickness and minimizes the boiler load.

摘要: A cold storage heat exchanger includes multiple refrigerant tubes having therein refrigerant passages. The refrigerant tubes are arranged to provide a clearance therebetween. The cold storage heat exchanger further includes a cold storage container that is brazed with the refrigerant tube and defines a compartment receiving a cold storage material. The cold storage container has an open-hole portion at a brazed part with the refrigerant tube. Accordingly, efficiency of heat exchange by the cold storage heat exchanger can be improved.
